Presents the life of Christ as steps in our union with the divine. Written by a well known Zen Buddhist It focuses on The books of Thomas (not in the KJVB) Mathew and John from both a Buddhist and Christian perspective. This book would not please Evengelical or Fundamentalist Christian or many in mainstream Christian faiths as it sees God as emminant and rejects original sin. His viewpoint of humans relationship to God is very much like the concept of Buddhism that we are all Buddhas. He also looks at key players such as Pilate, Judas, Peter, and Mary Magdalene as archtypes elements of which we all share. I was a professor for 30 years and have not highlighted so much in a book since I was an undergrad. Read it slowly and carefully. The writing style is clear and direct.
