I've been servant to a little hard-to-please rescue parakeet for about 4 years now. She lived her first 6 years in a one sq ft cage. No toys, No interaction... took a good while for her to trust me. I've been providing millet sprays all this time and dreaded ordering time rolling around again because it is such a horrid feeling when I open the package only to find that yes, once again, I've paid or discolored darkened dull musty millet which I'm supposed to provide my judge-y little friend with as a display of how much i care about her... anywhere from a fifth to a half of the dried seeds would be lying in bottom of plastic sac, and more would drop as i removed the sprays , seeking the few that were the least bad. The only solution was to go out to the pet shop and be able to examine them myself before buying, but should I have to?
