With this system, I get power on all of the 120v outlets, ceiling fans, bathroom exhaust fans, and the garage door openers during a power failure. We don't get to use the stove, the dryer, or the HVAC during a power failure. We don't get to use the microwave oven, because it's 1800 watts, which puts my DC-side at over 180 amps. I suppose we could use the microwave oven since it never runs for more than about 30 seconds, and never more than about once per day.
