This could just be a me issue (and no doubt it is) but make sure you have a stud finder for this. I didn't realize when I purchased that would be something to consider. That really doesn't take away anything from the actual product, because these blew my Walmart floating shelves out of the water. I wish they were a little cheaper but it's worth it, I think overall. The first set we bought we struggled with because we didn't have a stud finder. The second set was super easy to install, done in about fifteen or so minutes. They fit a decent amount, I'm not really trying to put a lot on them because they're just to display my collectibles and smaller items. So I can't speak to how much it can hold since I'm not straining it. Just some knick-knacks. I have a few light books, a record, candles, and a plushie on one. But since they're connected to studs I can't imagine anything would really make it come crashing down. They look super nice once you have them up!

I bought these floating shelves in the color Rustic Brown to replace a bulky storage shelf that was making my bathroom feel cramped, and they completely transformed the space. The wood finish looks much more expensive than I expected, and once installed they gave the bathroom a clean, modern, spa-like feel without taking up visual space. Installation was straightforward overall. I mounted one screw in the center into a stud and used drywall anchors for the remaining hardware, and the shelves feel very sturdy. They sit flush against the wall and don’t sag or wobble. I especially love how slim they are while still being deep enough to hold everyday bathroom items, decor, candles, skincare, and small baskets. The color worked perfectly with my bathroom vanity and mirror trim, and the floating design instantly made the room look more organized and intentional. Huge upgrade for a small space. Definitely recommend if you want functional storage that also looks elevated and minimalist.

The pros and cons of this shelf? It's cute. Very cute. Matches other black furniture you would buy at IKEA or Walmart, but.. It definitely doesn't hold 22 pounds. I wanted to simply display my books on these shelves, and it bowed at least a quarter of an inch after putting four books on them. Were they hardbacks? Yes. But I weighed them. Each book was a little over a pound, so I should have been able to put the whole series up there. I put all eight books on one shelf (which my husband made sure was secured to the wall) and it dipped quite a bit. So sure, it holds weight, but it doesn't sit straight. It flexes, A LOT. Also, it's smaller than advertised. The lengths are rounded up. Anyway, super cute, but don't work for what I needed them for. If these are for your bathroom to hold toilet paper or decor, then have at it. But displaying books is a no go.

4.5 stars - The shelves themselves arrived undamaged and work great for holding my kid's Lego. Half a star knocked off because the wall anchors that are provided are terrible and after fighting with them I ended up using wall anchors I already had. Once I had proper anchors and not the ones they gave it was a breeze to hang up the shelf. They do even include a paper guide to show where the holes are. That was very helpful. Just get your own wall anchors and you'll be good!
