Road Tape for Toy Cars - Sticks to Flat Surfaces, No Residue; 2 inch Wide x 30 ft Asphalt Road

Such a simple thing, but so cool. My toddler loves it. Small enough to throw in my bag with a few small cars and keeps my kid entertained in waiting rooms or restaurants. Sticky enough to stay put while playing, but not too sticky where it’s hard to remove when leaving. Easy to tear without scissors. We just love it

If you are looking for a last-minute stocking stuffer for your preschooler who is obsessed with cars, look no further! InRoad Toys so generously sent us a roll of their 30ft by 2in black road PlayTape to try out and it was an instant hit with Surfer Boy. PlayTape is a thin, papery tape that is meant to be used on just about any surface without leaving behind a residue and it lives up to its design intent! It’s easily repositionable, but you only get one or two chances to get it right before it loses staying power, but this could be do more to my dusty floors than the tape. It rips easily with your hand, so Surfer Boy had no problems laying it down himself after a bit of practice (score for my laziness… I mean his fine motor skills!). I’ve found that it works best on our hardwood floors and walls (although Surfer Boy couldn’t be less interested in playing with cars on the walls because “um, Mama, that’s not how they woooork.”) We haven’t tried it on any furniture, yet, but it doesn’t work all that well on our fluffy carpet. The 2 inch-wide tape is the ideal scale for the Cars3 mini die-cast cars, but Surfer Boy has run vehicles of every shape and size along it with glee. The only issue I had with the PlayTape was that the first 4 layers of tape were ripping near the edges every few inches. I was ready to give up, but once we got past that 4th layer, it was smooth sailing (I’m assuming this was some sort of defect in my roll as I’ve not seen mention of it in other reviews). I’m glad we kept at it because this little city layout has been in our front foyer for several days now and it’s getting SO much use. This is a fantastic toy that has been an outstanding springboard for Surfer Boy’s creative play, not to mention it shows no signs of wear or lifting edges even after being in the highest traffic floor of our home. I will certainly be picking up the train track version and some of the cool curved edges for more playing possibilities. We used this for my daughter’s fast and furious themed birthday party and it was a huge hit! We paired it with toy cars and stuck it to the tables and on the floor. I loved having it double as decoration and an activity. It did have a bit of trouble sticking on the ends and did crease very easily during the application. This tape feels sort of like the tape they use to close Amazon boxes and it was surprisingly durable. Very fun!

UPDATED: I don't know what type of adhesive material they're using but it has caused spot damage on my wooden floor. I am sending this item back I will never do business with them again. -------- Original review: Pros about this product: It came fast and it was packaged properly. Cons about this product: For the price that we paid, about $9 we should have got more material for that price on the roll. In addition to that the adhesive on the roll is pretty weak compared to duct tape or some other tape that you could use instead. Just to give you heads up the tackiness is a little bit stronger than painters tape which is pretty weak. Next time I'm just going to buy 3" black Gaffers tape on this website and a white permanent marker and just make my own.

Bought a few rolls for my daycare kids and used on my hardwood floors. It stopped my polish off and unfortunately the kids just ripped it up. But worked for a little while

Great for classroom activity toddlers made a road

It should be at least twice as big, width wise. I just could not believe how tiny it was when I received it. Very disappointed. However, I should have been the one to look for measurements. The company reached out to me and really worked with me to make it up to me. That made a very good impression on me!

My son enjoys playing on these but it's three days old and it's already peeling. - Too expensive for the amount you get - the pattern repeats too quickly - doesn't adhere on itself very well - should include corners at this price

Good product stickers well Curve or turn sections would be good too if they made them

Bought this for my son who is obsessed with cars. Used this to create roads and even a parking lot on his floors and he played with it so much. Great quality. Holds up to the vacuum and mopping .
