I had two 8mm punch biopsies on lower shin, right next to each other. Both wounds popped open when the sutures were removed a week later. Per my surgeon's suggestion, medical honey was recommended for the open wounds care. After rinsing wounds with sterile saline & patting dry, I applied the honey to to both and covered with a non-stick pad. Placed a Tegaderm dressing over that to secure. Repeated daily and the wounds are healing nicely, no pain and draining as they should. I also have used this product on my elderly Mom after a 1.5" melanoma excision (which could not be sutured) and it healed beautifully and with no issues.
