Awesome robovac
Disclaimer: I only have hardwood floors in my house with no stairs, crazy obstacles, ledges, etc. I do have a dog - chocolate lab. I’m coming from a 3 year old Roborock E5 which is an entry level unit from years ago that just bumps into things and does not have LiDAR nor cameras. It just bumps into stuff. I did not use it when an app. It was actually a solid machine and does really well considering it’s not that “smart”. It’s also a vacuum only. Looking back, the Roborock was very solid and I like the brand a lot. However, I needed more features to get my house clean to how I want it and wanted to incorporate mopping. I was going to go for Roborock again because I’m usually loyal to brands that have done me well. However, these vacs have gotten ridiculously expensive!! I paid around $200 for my mine and this time around I wanted something top tier but that means you’re spending over $1,200 and that’s pretty ridiculous to me for a vacuum. I think these bots are worth it and I was close to buying the Saros 10 for $1599 but it occurred to me that since I was coming from such a basic bot, I would probably find something in the $700-1,000 range that would exceed my expectations since I’m not used to having the latest and greatest. Long story short, I didn’t want to spend that much and held off. I watched a ton of review sites and videos and basically realized that a $700-1,000 vacuum will give you great performance. I ended up with the Mova P50 for $799. I’m VERY happy with it. The truth is, IMO, is the Saros 10 a better vac? Probably. But is it $800 better? No way! Any vacuum over $1k will likely give you only marginally better performance than this Mova P50. I would wager, any top tier vac will give you $200-300 more value and if it were that much more for a Saros 10 maybe I would have gotten it. In the end, as I meditated on such a large purchase it really became clear that there was no way I was going to get $800 more in value going to a top tier vac after watching all the glowing reviews of this P50. It’s simply not going to happen. The P50 does almost everything the more expensive bots do. I love the camera. I love how it takes pics of obstacles and sends me reports and maps my house in the app. I have no other app experience so I cannot compare it but I’m very happy with the app. Yes, there are a couple Chinese translation issues I’ve seen with the app/literature as other reviews have mentioned. Some of the wording could be more polished/accurate but it’s 90-95% good enough. I actually love the app after I used it a couple times. I use custom settings for all my scheduled cleanings. I think it’s way better. I vacuum every night at 3am when everyone is sleeping it goes in all the rooms minus bedrooms. Then two nights a week it mops and vacs. I will say make sure you keep up with the vacuum if you mop. The mop will smear pet hair/dirt that may get brought in if you have pets that go outside. Since I vacuum every night it’s not a big deal but the first time I used it my floors were not so clean and the mop was going the same time as the vac and it cleaned but left some mess behind. But let me tell you, it’s insane how much dirt this thing pics up and the waste water bucket gets BLACK water in it. My floors don’t even seem that dirty since it vacuums every night but having dogs and kids it’s impossible to keep clean so the dirt is there even if it doesn’t seem that bad. Now I only do the custom cleaning - not the preprogrammed smart or genius cleaning whatever they call it. So I can exclude mopping and make sure house is clean then on mop night it’s all good. I can also pick the vac power - I use turbo - and the water setting I use #14. I also turn off the “advanced” setting that makes sure the unit stays away from obstacles - it will already avoid most things by default but if you turn this on then it won’t go into many tight areas it should because the sensors think it’s too close. By turning this off it will bump into things a little bit more - not a lot - but will get everywhere you need it to. I also turn off the settings where it will circle stuff with the side brush or mop extender. This might be ok for some, but it will take much much longer for the bot to finish and it may not fit into some areas correctly as it tries to circle around objects but then might bump into something and get thrown off etc. Once it maps your house - it does it automatically as it cleans - you can name the rooms and program which rooms you want it to clean and when and in what order with individual mop/vac settings. You can also just pick one room at any time and tell it to clean it and it will drive itself there and get the job done. I do this occasionally in the kitchen and dining room where food gets dropped. Nothing really gets caught in the brush. It detangles itself and I agree works well. I use my Miele canister vac still for other jobs and to clean this bit and its sensors and occasionally the dust bin. Yes you still need to vacuum out the brush every couple weeks as it picks up lint, etc, but it doesn’t really get tangled and stays mostly clean. Yes, you can also drive it around with your phone as a remote control and you see the video feed from the bot. I’ve used this and it’s a neat feature and you can check on things when you’re not home. ONLY DOWNSIDE: 1) Twice in last month the auto emptying didn’t work. The contents of the dust bin stayed in dustbin and I noticed it wasn't sucking up much hair and voila the bin was packed. I found one of those metal twist ties was in the bin so it was blocking everything from coming out. I just take my Miele canister vac and clean it up and suck up the bin and put it back in service. 90% of the time the self emptying works but 10% of time the dust bin will get packed with dirt and dust to where it gets stuck (maybe gets damp from mopping?) and doesn’t want to come out with auto empty. 2) You do have to fill water bucket and empty waste bucket regularly. Little bit of effort but worth it. Conclusion: Buy it. If you want close to “top tier” performance without top tier price - then this is your bot.

P50 Pro had a strong performance while testing.
I’ve been using the P50 Pro Ultra for several days now, and overall I’m really happy with it. It arrived quickly in MOVA-branded packaging, and everything was packed well, so there were no concerns about damage during shipping. Setup was straightforward with minimal assembly, and the quick-start guide made things easy with clear instructions and helpful images. I had seen some reviews mentioning issues with the front wheel arriving broken, but mine had no problems at all right out of the box or during testing. Once I got it set up, the first thing I noticed was how sleek it looks. The white design is clean and modern, and it fits nicely into the room without standing out too much. Replacement parts are easy to find and reasonably priced compared to other robots in this range, which is a big plus long term. Connecting it to the MOVA Home app was quick. I just scanned the QR code on top of the robot, and it paired within seconds. It started mapping my home right away, though it only came with about 25 percent battery. I decided to fully charge it first to make sure it could complete the mapping without interruption, which took about an hour. That actually worked out well since it gave me time to clear floors for better results. The quick mapping of my 2,000 square foot home took about 20 minutes. The first map was a bit rough, but it was still usable for setting rooms and starting clean cycles. That’s actually better than some other robot vacuums I’ve owned that needed multiple full runs before producing a usable map. One feature I was unsure about at first was the mop setup. It doesn’t have a cover and instead uses a lift function. I was concerned it might drag a dirty mop across carpets or leave things wet. That turned out not to be an issue at all. During mapping, the robot automatically removed the mop, which I really like. I prefer vacuuming and mopping separately, so being able to fully remove the mop is a big advantage. It also means I don’t have to wait for pads to dry before running a vacuum cycle. Noise levels are low enough that I ran it overnight without it waking anyone up. I showed the noise levels in the video, see 1:18 for the vacuum and 1:49 for the mop. We did close the bedroom door, but overall it was quiet and not disruptive. By morning, the floors were clean with no streaks or signs of leaking from either the robot or the base. It also handled pet hair well without leaving piles behind, which anyone with multiple pets knows can be an issue. One thing I noticed is that it uses more water when mopping than other models I’ve owned. My home is about 70 percent tile, and it uses the full clean water tank on a moderate setting. If I increased the water level, it likely would not finish without needing to refill the tank mid-cycle, so running it overnight for mopping might not be ideal in that case. That said, it still uses less water than I would with a traditional mop and is far more convenient. After several days of extensive use, I’ve been able to try out more features. The app is very customizable, which I appreciate. You can adjust cleaning preferences and schedules, and even lower the robot’s voice at night or pause it during certain hours. The connectivity between the vacuum and the app is great. I can open the app at any time during a clean and know exactly where the vacuum is and what it is doing. It may be compacting hair or boosting edge cleaning. If there is a problem, it will audibly let you know and also send a notification to the app. The built-in camera is another interesting feature. It’s useful for checking in when you’re not home, like making sure you didn’t leave something behind or checking on pets. There’s even a “find pets” mode where it moves around until it locates them. It also supports two-way audio so you can talk through it. It announces when the camera is active, which helps address privacy concerns. The video quality isn’t amazing, but it’s more of a bonus feature and works well enough for what it is. I also tested obstacle avoidance by intentionally leaving a room messy with clothes, paper, pillows, and dog toys. It handled most of it better than expected. It avoided my charger and even navigated around loose paper without running it over. It got close to a sweatshirt but didn’t touch it. It did lightly bump a back stretcher, but nothing aggressive. Overall, I feel comfortable letting it run when I’m not home, even with some clutter around. The vacuum has yet to get stuck on anything, even with extensive use. For pickup testing, I scattered some small dog kibble on the floor. It picked up most of it on the first pass, though a few pieces got pushed out of the area by the brush arm or into spots it had already cleaned (see video). That’s not something I would rely on regularly since my pets take care of dropped food anyway, but it was still a solid result. The vacuum has great suction at 19,000 Pa, which is a noticeable jump from another robot vacuum that I own. At a $500 price point, I belive this is worth it compaired with top tir for robotic vacuums offered currently in the market. Pros: * Fast shipping and secure packaging with no damage * Easy setup with clear instructions and minimal assembly * Sleek design with a clean white finish * Replacement parts are easy to find and reasonably priced * Quick and simple app pairing using QR code * Fast mapping that is usable right away * Ability to fully remove the mop instead of just lifting it * Quiet enough to run overnight without disruption * No streaking or leaking during mopping * Handles pet hair well without leaving clumps * Highly customizable app with scheduling and voice control options * Built-in camera with two-way audio and pet-finding feature * Announces when the camera is active for privacy awareness * Strong obstacle avoidance, even with clutter * Picks up large debris like dog kibble effectively Cons: * Initial map is a bit rough and may need minor adjustments, though it improves with time * May not complete mopping in one tank at higher water settings or in larger spaces * Camera quality is basic and not very high resolution, but it works well for what it is * Small debris can sometimes get pushed outside cleaned areas, requiring a second pass Overall, I’m very satisfied with this purchase. It handles daily cleaning well, has thoughtful features, and feels reliable enough to run without constant supervision.

Never again
First review ever. Felt the need to. The product worked for 10 weeks after purchasing new. While it worked, it functioned great, both vacuuming and mopping. However, beginning in week 11, the robot would randomly turn off completely during its cleaning session (with ~ 70%+ battery charge remaining). No jams, no obstacles, just randomly shut down without coming anywhere close to completing the task nor returning to the dock. MOVA customer service is horrible. Though timely with responses (only positive I can provide), in spite of acknowledging an issue with the product that needed resolved, after very reasonable requests from me to simply ship me a new replacement unit, concluded that I must send the product back to them for … repair! The repair would take up to 30-day turn-around time. A 10-week old product, broken and not functioning due to manufacturer issue, and then insists on REPAIR. !? No thanks. Will never purchase any MOVA products due to this. Buyer’s beware.
