OK - As stated Amazon basic. has a one way mechanism to lock in place - but no locking safety pin. Have others which have this feature. for added safety & locks the rack in place thro the jack stem Unlikely due to mechanism design these would fail and drop under load. Depends on how much faith you have in them VS cost. Not had any issues with them and use in conjunction with jack and wooden chocks.

The product is of very good quality and very sturdy, but it's simply a jack which can hold an already lifted item in place. There is no provision for lifting the item from the ground. So please check that before purchasing.
