Terrible product and terrible experience.I purchased the Coolster 70CC Dirt Bike from Amazon 3rd Party Seller - Coolster ATV Parts as a birthday gift for my son. We were excited when it arrived and eagerly followed the steps in the instruction book to set up the bike. We fueled it up and discovered that the engine didn't work. My pre-purchase research had indicated that Coolster bikes may not be as durable as competing brands; however, I never expected to get a lemon right out of the box. Worse yet, the seller is not standing behind the product he sold.Here's the summary and lessons learned. I hope this helps you avoid the frustrating & costly situation we are experiencing:--Bike arrived defective; engine did not function--Returns for refund are not permitted by Amazon when the product has a gas engine. So, wanting to get my son's bday gift working, I took the bike to my local auto mechanic who diagnosed a mechanical issue with the fuel system (thought to be carburetor issue)--I tracked down the 3rd party seller phone # on Amazon's site and spoke with the seller. He was initially responsive and shipped out a replacement carburetor. The replacement carburetor did not correct the defect. The engine still does not work.-- I've since asked the seller multiple times via phone and Amazon messaging to refund my purchase; or arrange for & pay for a local mechanic of his choosing to troubleshoot & get the bike to expected working order. The seller initially responded saying he would contact Coolster and contact a repair shop but he has failed to take action on any resolution. I'm still waiting for him to provide a solution (refund or get it working).- I'm now working through a lengthy Amazon customer service claim process (directly with Amazon) to try to get my money back. Meanwhile, I'm out a large sum of money and have a non-functioning, defective dirt bike sitting in our garage.Based on my experience, I'd recommend NOT buying a Coolster . If you're still thinking about a Coolster, at least take these steps....--Read Amazon's 3rd party seller refund and claim process before you decide to buy; especially for non-returnable items such as dirt bikes--Call your local cycle/bike shops to see if they work on Coolsters. At some point (if you get one that works) you will need servicing, we learned that none of the motorcycle repair shops we called in our area would work on a Coolster bike--If you receive a defective product, contact Amazon customer service immediately. So far so good. The front brakes are a little hard to grab for my 7 year old, foot brakes seem fine. I went over most of the hardware and made sure it was tight, didn't find anything loose.
