I didn't need a utility knife or scissors to get it out of the packaging. Next I noticed the scent (lavender). It was a pleasing and not-too-strong smell , also the size of the bar s perfect since I did not want a giant bar of soap. It is gentle on my skin (I am using it as a face soap) and results in my face feeling soft and moisturized. I really love this soap.
