How do I know if my cat needs an anal gland supplement?

Cats suffering from anal gland irritation might scoot, excessively lick or chew (groom) under the tail, be tender around the rear end, have rear-end redness or swelling, trouble with or leakage between bowel movements, a foul or fishy odor, and more.

Which Glandex supplement is right for my cat?

Try Glandex Anal Gland Health for signs of anal gland issues like scooting, constipation, and fishy odors. Try Glandex Daily Prebiotic & Probiotic for signs of digestive distress like occasional diarrhea, excess gas, and gurgling tummy.

How do I give my cat a supplement powder?

Powder can be added as a topper to kibble–dry or with water, depending on the cat’s preference, or mixed in with their favorite wet food.

Do I have to start Glandex at a low dose?

As with all of our Glandex supplements, it is recommended to start at half of the recommended amount for the first week before gradually increasing to the full recommended amount (listed by weight on the label/packaging).

Is Glandex safe or does it have any side effects?

When starting cats on a Glandex supplement, give half the recommended amount for the first week to allow their bodies to adjust. While side effects are uncommon, it is possible for mild stomach upset to occur similar to adjusting to high fiber diets.
