Great upgrade for those still on rim brakes
Stellar wheels, they barely fit my '12 Scott Addict cx bike but I made it work. I really like this bike and am not interested in upgrading to a disc brake bike for a while as this one fits me so comfortably but I wanted a good upgrade. This was a great upgrade and totally worth it. The stiffness is great and 200 miles in (long ride of 40 so far) I am really happy with them. I use my cx bike for both gravel and cx and knew these would shine on gravel reading other reviews. For cx, they preform really well and are great for quick accelerations out of corners and up short steep hills. Also they bunny hop really well. The supplied brake pads fit my avid shorty's no problem.

38 Hott!
Arrived earlier than expected! Properly trued, race-ready out of the box; the width and depth of the 38's are a great upgrade from my Mavic Ksyrium Race. Lighter, stiffer, faster & PR's....

I think Elite wheels are a good choice
Design and quality are really good. I'm running these with TPU tubes. I will be flipping these over to tubeless once I have some time to do that. For me I like rim brake bikes eventhough I have disc bikes. Overall the build quality is really good and they perform great. I taken these out on short 15 mile rides and my avg speed is higher than the disc bikes. The wheels came true. The rear cassette is bit louder but honestly it doesn't bother me. It actually helps with people walking the roads imo. If you have a rim brake bike that you desire to get carbon wheels, I think Elite (this model) is a good choice to consider. 7/5. I flipped over to tubeless using Orange Sealant and Michelin Power Cup TLR 28mm and everything went as expected. The tires seated with the rims with no problem. No leaks not even a little. Itโs important to seat the tires before adding sealant. I did this with a high volume floor pump. 10/18- bought the 50mm and they are just as good. A tad harder to mount the tire but doable. Smooth running. I like these wheels. The 38mm are still going strong.

Excellent experience, great wheelset
With rim brakes slowly fading into the sunset, it's real good to see Chinese manufacturers still offering high quality options. I was looking to upgrade my factory alloys. But I wanted a wider wheel because I like to run 28c tubeless. These are 27 wide. They don't meet the aero standard of 105% but I can still run lower pressure(75psi front, 77psi rear @ 175lbs)in my tires, and the rim/tire profile looks very nice. The wheels were true out of the box. The states weight was 1564 grams, the actual weight for the 38's was 1559 grams. I originally wanted some sub 1400 gram wheels but this price just couldnt be beat. The brake pads that comes with the wheels are very grippy. Absolutely no issues with the wheels. Now about the seller, Elite wheels. Over the years I have worked with quite a few reputable Chinese manufacturers. I had a titanium frame built by Walty, wheels built by Yoeleo and Light Bicycle. Nothing but positive experiences. So I understand you can get quality products from Chinese brands. This was my first time dealing with Elite Wheels, probably won't be the last. I ordered the wheels in January, about a week before the observance of Chinese New Year. They promptly emailed and gave me the heads up that the factory would be shut down for a couple of weeks, but it's the middle of winter so that was fine. For the custom option I went with the UD gloss because they just look clean on a gloss bike. At the conclusion of Chinese New Year, the wheels were built and shipped within two weeks. Elite sent me pics of the finished wheels! Once they shipped it took maybe a little over a week to reach my home in the states! Great company, great wheelset. Very satisfied customer. Highly recommend.

Spokes have broken
I have had 2 spokes break over about two years. The first time was within a year and it was a major concern on the quality. The second one just happened- rear wheel both times. The 'warranty' coverage means they will send you 2-3 spokes and you are on your own to replace or have a lbs do it... not cheap. The wheel itself went right back to true after minimal spoke tensioning. It kind of haunts you to think it could happen on a fast downhill but both times was just random climbing a low hill. I am about 175 lbs so within the weight limit and ride a lot but on typically smooth roads. Not a deal breaker for the price and except for the broken spokes the wheels/hubs are great.
