It's...delightful. A surprisingly accurate retelling of the story of Alien, except through the ideas of a doofy little cat. I bought it expecting a one-note-joke children's book to put on my "shelf of aliens crap." Instead I got something that made me—briefly—happy. Here's what makes it brilliant: The events of Alien are accurately depicted here. Yup, that one too. But from the adorable picture-book of the Nostromo's cat, Jonesy. And told without words, just lovely little watercolor squares. One of the most creative and effective genre mash-ups I've ever stumbled onto. Buy it, if only to support the author.

The original Alien is my favorite movie. There has been... so much... alien franchise tie-in media. Comics, novels, merch, the Alien vs. Predator movies....just so much *meh*.
