Cap Barbell Weight Medicine Ball | 2-12lb Options

The Cap 6lb. medicine ball is a great size if you are just starting to get into medicine ball exercises. If you are not real strong even a 4lb. would be a good start. You can always increase the workout intensity by adding more reps or exercises. Eventually you will probably need a larger ball as your strength increases. This particular ball is a good size (smaller than a basketball) about 8 1/2" diameter, and has a textured surface that is easy to grip. It is very firm but not real "bouncy" so you can use it for "slam" exercises and it won't come up and hit you in the face, but will bounce high enough that you can catch it and keep your momentum going. A leather ball will not bounce as high. The construction of this ball seems to be extremely rugged. The rubber smell is not even noticeable after a few days. This ball does have a valve to pump it up if needed but does not need it initially..if it should eventually lose air, you would be able to inflate it. There are some good You Tube videos on medicine ball exercises and also Mens Health magazine has an article on the workout used by the Carolina basketball team using an 8lb. ball. I don't see it as a replacement for free weights but as a supplement on off-weight days or performed right after a weight workout.

We bought some of these for our bootcamp gym and they have been awesome! They are beautifully made and I love the colors. We bought two 6lb, two 8lb, two 10lb and one 12lb. All the 6lb-10lb are the same size ball but are different weights, and the 12lb is significantly bigger which I don't really mind. If anything I wish they were all the size of the 12lb ball but I'm used to the giant soft medicine balls so I'm just a little biased ;) but I still love working out with these and so does everyone else. I read a couple reviews before purchasing and there were some reviews complaining that they tore open or broke completely in half, then I read further to find out they were using them as slam balls. THESE ARE NOT SLAM BALLS. IF YOU SLAM THEM, THEY WILL BREAK. I would have thought that was pretty straight forward but apparently not. If you've ever used a slam ball, you should quite obviously note the differences in the make and consistency of a medicine ball vs. a slam ball. So if you are in need of some great quality Medicine balls for a great price, you will be very happy with these. If you're in need of a slam ball, you're gonna have a bad time. This is a great product! I gave it five stars because it is exactly as described. I work out between 3-5 days a week, and this medicine ball is a key part of my work out equipment. I have had this medicine ball for two months and am finding that it is very durable. I am 175lbs and the ball has no problem supporting my weight for various exercises (medicine ball triceps push up, push up with feet on medicine ball, alternating medicine ball push up, etc.) When I was shopping for a medicine ball there were many options, and it became a little confusing. I chose this one specifically because it was given good reviews and the price was reasonable. I am very happy with it and have not have any issues so far. I would recommend it for anyone in the market for a medicine ball.

It's a great medicine ball, I use it mostly for ab work. I've read from other reviewers that they've had problems using this doing some workout that involves slamming these to the ground. I'm not sure that's what these are for, but for the ab work I do, I have a slanted sit up bench where I place the ball on my chest and lift up. I sometimes use that same bench and face away from it where my lower body is extended. I place the medicine ball between my knees and lift up. There are other exercises you can do like sitting on the ground with your feet just above the ground as well as your upper body, and with the medicine ball in your hands you move it side to side. I think this is a great workout tool, just remember that abs are more about diet than anything else.

I used these when I worked out at a private training studio. My trainer mixed this in a lot for abs, arms and legs. It makes working out fun because it bounces but you need to give it a good throw to make it bounce which is an arm workout itself. I do oblique twists and situps with it, lunges with a twist with it, I bounce it on the ground while standing on an upside down bosu ball which really works on coordination. I'll also do squats on the bosu holding this overhead and bouncing it between squats. If you have a buddy you can do sit ups and throw it back and forth. I would advise taking a scrub brush and soap to it when you get it to give it a good wash and dry. I used the Valeo brand at the studio too and there is not any real difference between the 2 functionally and this one was $5 less so...no brainer.

Came deflated and without a needle Please read below. This isn't just a worthless prejudiced review. Pros Cheap Cons: Hold on this is gonna take a while Shipped not quite deflated but only with enough air to retain shape Did not include a needle like the Valeo medicine balls have with them No info on the packaging for an inflation pressure when I did actually find a needle The printing on the ball is practically worn off and I just got them. The seams are all poorly molded or melted or whatever. I think I could make a better ball out of playdoh. JUst the other overall grip and feel of the ball is cheasy. It doesn't feel like a piece of work out equipment or even Sporting equipment. More of like Dollar store crap feel. The only reason I am not sending these back is because I dont have the money to replace them with anything else. These might as well be trash. Even after I finally inflated them I dont know how long they'll actually last. I bought these as a hold over to use because the Valeo medicine balls I normally use are in another state.

No complaints at all. Great for many workouts at home.

This is an awesome product; exactly as pictured and described. It can within a few days in perfect condition and is a great weight to push myself to the next level of exercise. It's not too big to hold during your workout but it will definitely give you a challenge.

Está muy bien el artículo, sin embargo el tamaño es medio grande, pensé que se veía como en la imagen así que no vi las dimensiones, y cuando llegó si es un poquito más pequeña que un balón de fútbol.
