Mounted up easily. All necessary hardware is included for a wide variety of mounting situations. I’m not sure what some other reviewers were speaking of when they said they had to custom make parts to mount it. (?) I mounted it to a 1.25 inch aluminum mast with the included hardware. Easy peasy and extra cheesy❗️ 🧀

Protects the sensor
Our Observatory is on a mountain and subject to gale force winds and hot summer sun. This keeps the sensor on the building and shaded

It is accurate and it worked in humid greenhouse.
I used this for my greenhouse, as I wanted to know the temps in there without actually being in there. If it got too cold, I'd turn on a bulb. I liked that I could just look on my phone and see what the temp was on cold nights. I have only used it one season in the greenhouse but then stuck it in the garage and knew how warm it was in there too. Sometimes I would leave the garage door open until it cooled off too. It was nice to know the temps without walking outside to look at a guage. I think the temps were accurate, or at least as accurate as the thermometer I have in both areas.

looks nice , but not necessary.
this holder for a sensor looks nice, but is it really nesseccary? Forty dollars to hold a twenty five dollar sensor.
