Review: I fell further in love w my scope after trying to upgrade - I found out about this scope from the Precision Rifle Blog article and have compared it to the SB short and standard size PMII 5-25's and recently thought I would upgrade with a tangent theta scope. I find the eyebox on the RECON is so comfortable and so approachable. I know Val says the reasoning behind a 40mm maintube was to make the scope tough through recoil, but I think this big tube's biggest advantage is actually its eyebox and forgiveness. It's a comfortable shooter. I know y'all are saying how can this scope compare to a tangent theta, but for me, I couldnt part with my RECON after trying to upgrade to a TT. The Recon's compact size makes it ideal for a bullpup. The reticle is a B+, and although it leaves much to be desired and holdovers are tough ... I'll take it. This is scope has amazing glass. Its coatings are super compatible with clip on nightvision, I get awesome results behind a KAC AN PVS 30. Val is awesome, which adds to the overall package. Love the parallax on the main tube, I use a fishing tie-wrap gizmo as an power lever up there.....I love this scope. 28X ipower is great, but the 4X power is also an amazing benefit as most powerful scopes start at 5 or 6. I hope I can get super proficient with the reticle over time because I love this package.
