Segway Segway eKickScooter Ninebot F3

An early five-star review. I have only got to tinker with the settings and look at all the features this thing has. I'm really blown away with it. You pay a premium and you get a premium-feeling scooter. Will update when I ride it 💪 better than the Niu scooters. UPDATE: took it for my first ride in my big city in Massachusetts that has nothing but pot holes and honestly I didn't even feel it in my legs like my last scooter with no suspension it rides smooth it's quiet could barely hear anything besides the regen thing when braking. The traction control system will slow u down when u hit a pot hole I think that's a good feature but if you don't like it just disable it it's not to heavy at like 42 pounds I bring it up to a third floor. Definitely recommend this scooter. Just wanted to add that this scooter has more power than the 20 mph, compared to the Niu K3 Max that Niu would let you unlock 24 mph on the app. I wish Segway did this because you definitely feel the scooter has more power to give going 20 mph. I know it's only 4 extra mph, but when you're heavier it helps. The two scooters have the same motor speed. The Segway has 100 more peak power than the Niu K3, so it's definitely possible.

I totally love this scooter! I have a lot of experience with scooters. This is my 7th, yes seventh scooter. I just enjoy riding them. I have higher end scooters that are more powerful and faster, but this one is so much fun. I also still have the Segway G30P. They are about the same size, but the F3’s suspension is such a fantastic upgrade. I highly recommend getting a scooter with suspension. It’s such a nicer ride. Operating the F3 is a breeze. I love how tech forward it is, the app makes it so easy. On the display it shows the remaining mileage you have which is such an excellent addition. No more guessing how much range you have left by looking at just the battery display. It’s easy to fold, pick up and go. The weight is nice and light for me to pick up with one hand. It’s a big difference from my 90 pound scooter. It feels very durable and it just looks clean and slick. It’s a great ride and easy to maneuver. I love riding the F3 and I think I’ll be using this more than my other scooters. I highly recommend getting this scooter for the price, range, comfort, build quality, UL certified and just overall fun. P.S. I customized the RGB lights and the additional lights myself, it doesn’t come that way.

I put 1,500 miles on my F40. The F3 is a huge upgrade in performance and comfort. The F40 had no shock absorbers and the motor didn't have the starting torque this one does. As a city rider, I appreciate the faster acceleration. Upgrading from the F40, you notice the motor, brakes, brighter headlight, slightly larger deck, charging port cover, post lock, and kick stand are all big improvements. New features such as turning off when you fold it, built in Apple FindMe and iPhone unlocking are nice. I even find myself using the blinkers sometimes to indicate my intention when there are lots of pedestrians or cars around. Weight is about the same, though this one is just a little bit bigger but still no problem carrying it up and down the stairs. The F40 had an offset handle when folded. The F3 has a center latch, which can make the handle bar stick out more than the F40 did. The F3 handle bar is wider then the F40 (for the turn signals), so a little less space when squeezing between car mirrors. The handle bar is slightly curved so if you put an accessory bar, it has to be one with only one post to the handle bar. A double post won't work because they won't be straight for the accessory bar. I recommend the optional Segway fast charger. Full charge in 2.5 - 3 hours compared to 8 with the included charger. And if you ride in a city, do your self a favor and get a separate loud electric horn, such as the "ZIREN 140db". The little bell that comes with these is useless in cities.

PROS - good power compared to F2 and G2 (climbs hills better than my G2) - casual riding more comfortable than G2 or G3! (my first experience with elastomer) - super light/portable for its level of capability - good looking - good deck space when comparing to F2 (I wear size 12's) - lack of rear "clunk" over bumps (G2 is bad about this) - ability soon to add external battery - Segride design takes getting used to but is noticeably more stable - brakes surprisingly seem BETTER than Max G3 - headlight MUCH brighter than G2 CONS - specifically mine came with crooked handlebars (factory taps drilled a bit off on stem-to-bar post. I was able to correct "enough" with stem adjustment not to send it back, but annoying to receive this way and it is a QC issue they have because my Max G2 had same issue) - Traction control bug that causes random jerking while riding and makes this feature un-useable (turn it off in the app. I've already read others having same issue, so I hope it can be fixed with a firmware update but am counting on it not specific to MY F3. Rides perfect with TC off but they need to fix this!) - lower top speed than G2 (this should have been at least the same or better than G2) - Just like the F2 and G2, wind can be an issue...if you ride in a lot of wind and still want to go 20mph, you'll need a G3; same for lots of hills but this still climbs better than the F2/G2 in my personal experience so far, despite the specs saying otherwise for the G2 Overall if not for the cons, I'd have given this 5 stars...the 20mph limit vs the G2 is very frustrating but 20mph is more than enough for sidewalk commutes and playing around in a neighborhood. This scooter (especially with the external battery option) should detour anyone from buying a new G2 in my opinion (especially for more money). G2 is beefier and this is more nimble, but I can't find a reason to pay more for a G2 vs the standard F3 if you are comparing them (F3 Pro isn't out yet).

Less range than advertised but I’m also 60lbs heavier than their test rider, I’m around 220lbs. Has no problem hitting top speed or carrying me up pretty steep hills. More than enough range to get me anywhere I need to go around town and back still. I’d recommend setting brake regen to standard and trying to use mostly the electronic braking, because it does make a noticeable difference to range. It’s got a good build quality, feels nice and sturdy, stable to ride, light enough to carry into the building and to my office when I get to work, suspension is decent and the headlight is nice and bright. Suuuuper happy with this scooter so far. Still early days as I’ve only put about 15 miles total on it so far, will update review if I run into any issues. Don’t be a fool, wear a helmet, preferably full face. “Full face or no face”

Pre-ordered this over a month ago, back in April, and it never arrived. Many times would show as will be delivered on a date..then it wouldn’t be. It was never shipped. Come to find out, many others had this same issue. Had to contact Amazon many times and then finally someone helped me by ‘returning’ the order that never shipped and ‘replacing’ my unit with a new order. It finally actually shipped last week and arrived today. It is a VERY nice e-scooter but it seems flawed and unsafe, at least the unit I received. The rear fender rattles like a can of spray paint and the front end has a lot of play to it. Even with the steering column properly locked in place and tightened to spec, the front wheel moves side to side a lot, it certainly can’t be normal. The tech, the softness of the ride, etc are very nice there’s no denying that. The screen with display readout is great. Sadly, I will be returning it because I can’t trust it being safe to ride with the front end loose and unstable. If anyone already placed an order but keep getting delayed delivery dates, contact Amazon until you get someone that’ll help you replace the order with a different unit/new order. It should solve your problem why you never got your order. The Segway f3 is a nice e scooter if you can get a proper unit but beware, from reading online it seems that loose front ends isn’t something new with Segway on their e-scooters.

Great build quality with excellent stability and suspension. The battery life is impressive and easily lasts for my daily commute. The only downside is that it’s quite heavy, so it’s not very portable.

Great product so far. Range may vary

I’m really happy with this electric scooter. The quality is excellent—it feels sturdy and well made. The battery is also very durable, and the range is great. It lasts a long time and works really well for everyday use. It’s comfortable, easy to ride, and has been a great purchase. I’m very happy with it!

Prefect for beginners. I had so much fun riding downtown. And the price is pretty good even the delivery was made very safe 👍 I want to get the pro version for next some

Good product price vs quality.

I am extremely disappointed with this purchase and with Amazon’s customer service. I spent over $900 on this scooter for my son, and it started leaking oil on the very first day. A brand-new scooter should not have a major issue like this right out of the box. What makes this even more frustrating is that the product listing says it can be returned or replaced. However, when I contacted Amazon for help, they refused to honor that. Instead of replacing or accepting the return, they told me to deal directly with the manufacturer to have it repaired. I didn’t pay over $900 for a brand-new product just to have to arrange repairs on day one. I bought through Amazon because I expected them to stand behind what they sell, especially when a product arrives defective. This experience has completely destroyed my confidence in buying expensive items from Amazon. If you’re considering purchasing this scooter, be aware that if something goes wrong immediately, you may be left dealing with the manufacturer instead of receiving the return or replacement that the listing suggests.

Brand new. Everything is prefect now.
