How Does Tan Through Swimwear Work? Quite simply, our unique patented Tan Through swimwear fabric contains millions of tiny square & diamond shaped holes allowing the suns tanning rays to pass through. While we know holes in fabric isn't exactly rocket science, with holes comes transparency and this is where the magic happens! To counter the transparency we design special prints that confuse the eye and camouflage the skin beneath making any transparency issues melt away like butter in the sunshine you will be lying in! The number of microscopic holes has increased from 700 to 2000 per square inch making our swimwear even more breathable and due to its unique design is less transparent . The time it takes for you to tan through the Transol fabric is difficult to estimate it all depends on your skin type, melanin production in your skin, intensity of the sun and how long you spend in the sun to allow tanning to take place. Try to wear Kiniki products as often as possible and for a continuous period of time. Do I need sun protection when wearing Kiniki products? Please make sure that you wear appropriate sun protection when wearing Kiniki products. It is important to protect your skin with a suitable sun cream offering UVA & UVB protection. Can I swim in the sea or pool in my Tan through swimwear? Yes, absolutely, the fabric is not affected by sea water or the chemicals present in swimming pools, as with all swimwear we recommend it is rinsed through after use. Do I need to take special care when laundering my Tan Through swimwear? No special care is required, you can wash your tan through garment by hand or machine wash up to 40°C and whilst tumble drying will not harm the fabric, it is advisable to let your swimwear dry naturally. Size Chart Review: fits well to size - Tanned nicely Review: Does not really tan through at all - This bikini fits well, is true to size and is lightweight to wear (I bought two bikini tops a pair of shorts to mix and match) but that is where the positives end. It really doesn’t tan through at all, not even a little bit. The photo above is the difference between the amount of tanning bare skin with factor 50 sun cream and bare skin with just the bikini cover after one day out in the sun. The bikini covered skin is still pale and shows no sign of tanning but area of skin with sun cream has started to tan. So sadly it just doesn’t work as a tan through but is nice and lightweight in the heat
