You want genuinely clean and health hair? This is the product for you! Highland’s “The Wash” leaves my hair feeling so soft and clean but never stripped like you sometimes feel with some clarifying shampoos. My hair comes out shiny and smooth and I’m using only about half as much per wash as I was with other big name brands. I started using this a few months ago and have walked away from every other (some pretty expensive) shampoos I’ve tried. It smells incredible and I can feel it working even on my scalp-there is a nice tingle to it. On a weird note, I love how this comes in an aluminum bottle. 100% recyclable so I feel good about our environment while I’m feeling good about how I look. Love the honest and transparent natural ingredients and approach that Highland uses. Trust me, try this shampoo and you will be sold!

I've been searching for the right shampoo for me for years and this is it. I have thin, wavy hair but a lot of it and I've always struggled with frizz and an oily scalp at the end of the day. Every shampoo/conditioner combo I've used either leaves my hair dry and frizzy or it weighs it down and looks oily. But not with the wash! I had been using highlands styling cream which was the best styling cream for my hair that I could find, so I had to try the wash when it came out. I still can't believe how much I like it and how much better my hair feels. I've been using it for about 1 month now and my hair is seeing less breakage and looks more volumous.Update: I've been using this for several months now and I still love it! I usually still wash my hair with a "standard" shampoo one a week, but use this the remainder of the week. It keeps my hair healthy and much smoother. Without looking like there's a ton of product in it. Now I just need them to come out with a light conditioner!Bodies are different so I can't guarantee everyone will have the same success, but this is one of the few times I'm compelled to write a review because it's the best hair product I've ever used.

I think I’ve finally found the perfect product. The Wash is gentle enough on my curls that I could easily use it every day without feeling stripped and dry, and being able to wash more frequently without styling nightmares has definitely improved my scalp health. A little goes a long way and, though my girlfriend doesn’t agree, I think the scent is incredible. It’s a little pricey, so you will definitely have to decide if it’s worth it for you, but I like this so much I think I’ll be sticking with it for a while.

Second purchase. Rare that a product lives up to promises, but the Highland wash delivers. I have longish, thicker hair, a little dry and some wave/body left. This stuff cleans, leaves hair soft and ready for whatever "product" you want to add--cream or pomade, etc. Also now rarely need to use conditioner (so that saves $). Can use daily, small amount goes a long way. Washes "clean", little fragrance, no fake detergent build-up--have even seen some improvements in my overall scalp health. So much better than drugstore and designer brands. Other Highland hair products really good also.

I was very disappointed in this – Highland's Glacial Cream has saved my hair, and the best part of both it and the pomade is a low-profile, pleasant scent. I was expecting the same from the wash, but instead they made it with the same generic minty Irish Spring scent that every other brand uses. It's an alienating scent and a weird decision for a company that otherwise has the scent formula perfected. Praying the future reformulates this into something I want to smell on a daily basis.

However, Highland’s Glacial Cream is so good that when they dropped a shampoo, I figured, why not?There’s a reason these guys hit the ground running in the hair care industry: their stuff works. Like I said, I had a shampoo I liked, and this one still converted me after the first wash. My hair has never been cleaner, shinier, healthier, or more voluminous. It doesn’t even advertise doing all of that, and yet it still does. They don’t make a companion conditioner because you don’t need one. It won’t leave your hair greasy or your scalp irritated, but it also won’t suck the moisture out of your hair like a sponge. It just works, better than I could have expected.The bonus is that the packaging is 100% recyclable. Two bottles have arrived in perfect condition with no leaking or damage.Is it expensive? Yes. Is it worth the money? In my opinion, absolutely. Sure, I could go back to cheaper shampoo bars for half the cost and half the effectiveness, but why would I want to?It also scored a 72/100 on Yuka, meaning it’s good for your hair, skin, and the environment. Another home run for Highland.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:I found The Wash via Highland's other hair care products and decided to give it a try based on the positive experiences with both the clay and cream. I try to keep things simple and don't want to deal with strong scents in my hair care and grooming products, so The Wash is great for me: I can use it every day and it is a single pump that I can keep in the shower. It has a light scent that smells natural and does not leave any residue. It does not feel like it is stripping my hair or scalp.I've been using it exclusively for a little over two months (originally purchased via their website) and it has all but replaced the other shampoo/conditioner set that I have. I have short hair and 1-2 pumps is all I need, so a bottle lasts a while for me. I've already purchased my second bottle and I am considering a subscription.If you're looking for something simple and effective that you can use every day, you should give this a shot.
