This was fun to do, but I was surprised by the mirror-image writing on the cafe menu. This model has all the usual hallmarks from Minicity designs. They include the glue, tools, high quality pieces, and detailed high quality instructions that set the mark for the way book nook kits should be created. And they do this at a very competitive price point.

Had a great time with this project! It's well made and sturdy. I had fun looking at all the pieces. The assembly was easy to follow. It was my first kit but I'm getting another! Love that it has a dust cover.

the design is fantastic and the quality is really good. its size is a little larger than expected. it was very fun to put together, and is thick enought to be strudy when built. the reason i gave it three stars is because it is a misleading description and title. it is in no way related to halloween. nor is it spooky or creepy. it is a model of Berni's workshop who was a famous sculptor. it is well built and beautiful, let that speak for it, not the misleading description.

This was the second kit I ever did and now having completed about 20 other nooks, I decided to do it again. Much better this time around. This is a great kit and beautiful to look at. I file and paint all edges so I'm really slow at getting these done but I think it's worth it. I don't have any complaints. The instructions are good. Just take your time. I made my own pillows for the couch and added some plants. The handles on the dresser are gold beads. I did have one almost disaster that was my fault. I screwed up the ladder right in the very front! Tried to cover the substantial breaks with filing and paint but it looked horrible. I covered up with a fake vine and blossoms and it looks pretty darn good. I donate my finished kits to a non-profit arts foundation in my town. It is great that others love these creations as much as I do and it helps our community. This is well worth your time!

This one took quiet a while. Spent probably just 2 hours assembling the books. Around 8 hours on the rest. I consider this kit more on the advanced side Instructions were clear and easy to understand. Staircase was challenging but turned out well. End result looked pretty good. Although I didn't care for the patruding balconies on the outside. Would recommend. Probably for ages 15+ as stated.

This Sleeping Beauty kit was fun to build! It was one of the more difficult kits that I’ve put together, though I have to say that it came with everything I needed, E7000 glue, tweezers, scissors, and even a nice HAMMER that I’ll be able to use with other kits! The instructions were “ok”…. My only complaint is that the diagrams were a little dark, so it was difficult to see where some pieces went! It would have been nice to have some pictures in black and white, highlighting the pieces that were needed. That being said, the pieces are sturdy and fit together nicely, without needing to sand pieces to fit, like other kits. This kit took me a little over 8 hours to put together and I’ve put together 13 kits so far! I would buy another kit from MiniCity!!!

Super fun build. I took my time with it Sheet K wasn’t cut properly so had to usw extra glue on those pieces. Loved building all the books.

This was by far the most fun and cathartic project I have done in a while. I do a lot of jigsaw puzzles and painting with diamonds but wanted something different and I am SO GLAD I tried this. I completed this in 3 days as a complete beginner so I would definitely say it’s beginner friendly. The instructions are very clear and the pieces line up and fit nicely into place so there weren’t too many frustrating parts. The worst part for me was part 2 (the right wall) where the parts were kind of loose and the stairs kept falling apart on me so I just ended up gluing things into place that should have snapped into place. But it honestly was a small frustration. The book covers had a good array of genres which I loved and the decorations are just too cute! I would say…if you are heavy handed like me, just be careful. There are duplicates of only some easily breakable pieces so I did end up gluing together a few rods that I accidentally snapped into half lol Lastly, the lights work great and it really helps bring the whole scene together. I will definitely be purchasing another one soon!
