Probably the worst £68 I’ve spent on anything recently. This product is absolutely useless! Whist it does run the pump whilst there is little sunlight due to the battery backup, if you are looking for a water fountain with a height of around 2 millimetres in FULL sunlight, then this is for you. I will be looking to return this item for a refund. Please do not waste your time or money purchasing this.

Brillant been in and working for a few weeks now. Powerful enough for a small waterfall feature into the pond easy to clean and the water is now crystal clear

Totally useless! The pump could not deliver more than a trickle from the hose when raised only a few inches. I returned the pump and received a "full refund" of $56.23 ( I paid $124.23). I am out of pocket by $70 and have no item.

I took a gamble when I bought this because I wasn’t sure how well a solar pump would really work. I absolutely love it. I hooked the pump up to my pre-existing fountain and it works flawlessly. I love the fact that I no longer have to worry about running an extension cord!

This is an updated review based on seller customer service, attention to detail and product/part replacement. The photo shows the 8w model with the small fountain spray. Since I can only upload 1 video at a time, I removed the video of the 8w and replaced it with the video of the 25w model. As you can see the spray is superior and very tall. We submerged the device and placed it on a flat block stone at deepest part of our pond. Even with minimal sun exposure, the power of the pump shot a part of the pump off and threw off the spigot, we had to zip ties it to the machine so it wouldn't fly off! So I can only imagine what this does at full power in full sun. The pump comes with ceramic pieces inside and those black plastic spheres which are supposed to act as additional filtration. The machine is lightweight. The solar panel is large and somewhat heavy. Recommend a sturdy place where to perch it on. We are using our boxwood hedges, which can hold it up easily. The cord is a good length and can be easily used to wrap around rocks, foliage and other pond areas. It is housed in rubber, and looks like it would hold up to the elements. Shipping was fast and secure. Customer service was spectacular, thorough and professional. They made my issue right and went above and beyond. I appreciate them and Amazon for facilitating communication. I would recommend the product and the service.

Not reliable. Clogs easily and stop working after a month. Terrible product.

Updated June 11, 2026: added two stars after POPSOAP reached out and sent a replacement pump. Fast shipping, it slid right into the original installation location and is bubbling away merrily in the summer sun. Was: 2 stars - Easy to set up, worked ok.... from October 2025 - May 2026. The battery backup never seemed to work, and unless the sun was clear and bright. No response from the company. Looking for a more reliable pump now.
