Tuttle Pocket Hindi Dictionary: Hindi-English English-Hindi (Fully Romanized)

This little dictionary has romanized English to Hindi vocabulary, just what I needed. Even though it's very small, it's quite legible, and a happy purchase for me. Thanmk you!

Finally!!! A Hindi-English dictionary with romanized spelling! So grateful to have found this little gem. The back of the book has English words translated into both Devanagari script and romanized characters. The front of book has the Hindi words in Devanagari script followed by the romanized spelling and a definition of the word written in English. So, so helpful!!!I saw someone complain that the definitions are only listed for the Hindi words in the front of the book, but I am totally fine with that. I already know what things in English mean. It's the Hindi script in which I find an explanation of what the word is more useful.Everyone has their particular preferences, and this book definitely suits mine. It is nearly impossible to find anything with romanization.

El diccionario más pequeño que podrías llevar en tu viaje. Lo siento bastante práctico. Muy útil para principiantes, trae la escritura en devanagari y su pronunciación así como su significado. Igualmente se puede buscar en Inglés y su respectiva escritura en devanagari así como su pronunciación.

趣味でヒンディー語を勉強しているものです。サイズをよく確認せずに購入した自分が悪いのですが、辞書字体のサイズも小さいし、文字も小さいし、長時間見るのが不可能です。ことばの説明は、ほとんど一語でごく簡単にしか書かれてないです。ローマナイズは良かったですが、ヒンディ語の「あいうえお」順に並んでいるので、勉強不足の私はすぐに目的のところにたどりつけません。この辞書を持っていて良かったなあと思える日が来たらいいなと思います。

You definitely won't learn Hindi from this dictionary, but it is a great reference if you are trying to learn the language! More than worth the price!
