Tiffen 67mm #21 Orange Filter for Black & White Photography

Selected this for the Brand. Tiffen is a brand that delivers and this filter is no exception. Fit and quality is excellent and it’s good value for the money.

Purchased to use to make clouds pop in black and white film photography. Also the blue big skies in Texas tend to look washed out and pale so I need filter help. It does cause a little darkening of the dark areas such as trees, buildings etc. I was able to dodge and burn in the darkroom to further get the effects I wanted in the areas that needed lightening and even to add more darkening in the cumulus thunderstorm clouds. High quality glass lens. If you want severe contrast buy the red filter and if you want just a gentle nudge try the yellow. Or buy them all! Hint: there are photos online showing the same scene through the different filters so check that out. Comes with a hard plastic screw type protection case for storage. Rating 5 stars = Love It.

The filters are great and a good fit for my Q2 Monochrom. The only thing that’s disappointing is that the minimal packaging was not up to the task and was damaged during transit, so now I have to buy something else to protect the filters in my camera bag.

This fits my Nikon lens perfectly. I bought this filter about five years ago and it is used on occasion. I have seen no signs of wear or loss of quality in the several years that it has been in my camera bag. My close inspection shows that there are no flaws or defects that are visible to my naked eye on this filter. There is also no loss of image quality with this filter. The ring, by the way, is metal and not cheaper plastic. If you need an orange 62mm filter, this is the way to go.

I bought this to go on the front of my Yashica Electro 35 CC, to help render a bit more contrast between sky and clouds. I was surprised at how heavy and solid this filter is; I must have gotten used to off-brand filters over the years. It's highly recommended.

Conoscevo già la marca americana Tiffen. Ho scelto questo filtro perché costa meno di B+W ma offre parimenti un'ottima qualità nel cristallo ottico e nella montatura metallica. Io lo userò con pellicole bianconero ma può essere molto utile anche a chi usa fotocamere digitali monocromatiche (NON PER SENSORI CLASSICI e immagini a colori convertite in bianconero).
