How do I take apart thr lle filters?

Here are some simple steps you can follow to remove the transparent cover for the gas filter cartridge:

1. Hold the gas filter cartridge in your left hand with the transparent cap facing you. If you're left-handed, switch hands.

2. Pull the transparent cover with your right index finger while pushing the gas filter cartridge through the hole in the cover with your right thumb.

Are the dust and gas filters in the photo extras, ie is the mask already fully assembled?

There are in total 8 dust filters and 2 gas filters in the package. At a time you need to use 2 gas filters and 2 dust filters to effectively use this respirator mask. So you'll have 6 dust filters remaining as extras for future uses.
