Having any kinks in the hose puts protrusions inside the hose that make it more vulnerable to damage by the chips coming out of the planer. I deducted 1 star because of the damage caused to the hose by the tight folding. I ended up cutting the hose in half at that point and I may use a coupler to eliminate the irregularity. For the price, the product is working great. Cut most of it down in smaller pieces.
