Hot, but not unbearable. The sauce is of high quality from a culinary perspective. It's well balanced with a nice fruity sweetness, subtle aromatic spice, acidity and a hint of peppery smokiness. It's refreshing to see they actually put effort into the overall flavor instead of just going for pure heat. As for the heat itself, I wouldn't recommend it for inexperienced users. It's got one hell of a kick. The heat lingers for a few minutes. Fantastic on very rich, heavy, fatty meals. What I especially enjoy about this sauce is that, being a mash sauce, the heat is often delayed and peaks several bites into your food, then gradually tapers off. This is in contrast to extract boosted sauces, which tend to peak very early and aggressively. For my heat tolerance, extract boosted sauces are pretty much unavoidable but Regret is an amazing middle ground. The delayed onset of the heat simply makes for a better eating experience, in my opinion. Highly recommend for people who are used to hot sauces. Elijah's Xtreme Regret has earned a permanent place in my pantry.

My husbands favorite hot sauce! He orders this on repeat. It has a hot flavor but to him he said it’s a perfect hot kick and heat. We use this for so many foods and it works well.

I was looking for a crazy hot hot sauce and this definitely did not blow my socks off in that aspect but definitely glad I purchased the product the taste is phenomenal definitely would be a sauce I would use on wings. For the average person this hot sauce would be extremely hot but for someone who likes spicy food and has a little tolerance it doesn’t kick as much as you would hope.

I'm hooked. Great sauces. Flavor and heat. I buy above habanero. So this is awesome. Now to find a Pepper X sauce I can afford. I will buy Elijah as long as I can. Thanks yous guys.
