You need to install a driver for the CH340G communication chip to make them work (on either PC or Mac). With the latest version of IDE you would select Arduino Nano, and specify the 'Old Bootloader' configuration. The current version of the authentic Arduino Nano uses Optiboot, which frees up 1.5K of programming space, giving you 31.5K of space for code, instead of 30K of space that you get with these clones. I have been unable to flash Optiboot to this device. So as long as you aren't running big projects, this is a great deal. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Works as a duemilanove diecimila in the IDE board setting. *by C***. on Reviewed in the United States on September 16, 2018* The board seems to work fine, however setting the Arduino IDE program to the board setting for 'nano' will cause upload errors, after having played with many settings it turns out that you have to go to the board setting and select "Arduino duemilanove or diecimila" under the tools tab. it would have been nice if this board came with some documentation or if it mentioned this on the product description.
