Fantastic tele,cannot fault it !!!
This tele is absolutely amazing !!! First off....The delivery drivers were really professional and very helpful, they brought it in carefully and even unboxed it to check for any visual damage for me,so thank you to them for that !!! It was very easy to hang on my wall bracket,it's actually light enough and thin enough for me to pick up on my own and land it on the hangers, but,do so at your own risk, lol !!! All the equipment that should have came with it was all present and correct, the remote is easy to use and set out well,it was simple to set up,and the Internet connection was easy !!! The picture and clarity is phenomenal, even compared to my 55" Samsung 4K,Ultra HD,Crystal LED in my bedroom, and the sound is actually much better, the built in tele speakers are awesome to be perfectly honest, definitely the best tele I've had !!! I've actually bought a TCL sound bar to go under it and it's even better again with that, because they both sync up and work together,it's like my own personal cinema,it's fantastic !!! Everything is on here I need telewise,TCL freeview tele is good enough to watch,it's very similar to Samsung TV,with tonnes of channels. It also has an aeriel input for terrestrial TV,obviously !!! Google TV is ready if you want to buy all the latest films,series,docs,etc.... You can personalize everything on here, and so can all your family,in their own profiles for whoever's watching if you want !!! All the smart stuff is on here too,Netflix,Prime,You Tube,etc....You can even use AI to create your own screensavers,it's great !!! I bought a screen sensor with backlight LED'S for mine aswell,it's so immersive when watching films and playing games,I never want to go out again, haha !!! My PS5 plays amazing on here and it's set up on HDMI at 144 hz,And my VR2....OMG,it's so real I was getting motion sickness on the roller coasters, haha !!!!....The picture is that crystal clear it's unbelievable !!! I'm not a tele expert by any means but I guarantee a 1000 pound tele is no different to this. The whole package is worth every single penny,I paid about 500 I think,I truly highly recommend it to anyone. I'm extremely happy with mine. Thanks !!! (PS...I couldn't upload a video for some reason so here's a few pics of the picture clarity, just to show you !!! )

Almost a Year Later – Still Flawless and Worth Every Penny
I bought the 85-inch model in December 2025 and deliberately waited this long before writing a review. Too many reviews are written on the day a product arrives, but long-term reliability is what really matters. I'm pleased to say this TV has been faultless. There are no dead pixels, it's been completely reliable, and everything still works exactly as it did on day one. The Google TV interface is quick and responsive, apps load fast, and navigating the menus is smooth with no noticeable lag. The picture quality is fantastic. Colours are vibrant thanks to the QLED panel, 4K content looks incredibly sharp, and films with Dolby Vision look superb. Gaming is equally impressive with the 144Hz refresh rate making everything feel smooth and responsive. The built-in Onkyo speakers are also much better than I expected from a TV and are perfectly good for everyday viewing without immediately needing a soundbar. At 85 inches it's a real cinema experience, whether you're watching films, sport or playing games. After 8 months of ownership I honestly couldn't be happier. It's been completely trouble-free, and I'd have no hesitation recommending it to anyone looking for a large-screen TV that offers fantastic performance without paying premium-brand prices.

Massive screen, incredible value, and a gamer’s dream!
I recently upgraded to the 85-inch TCL T8C (2025 model), and the scale of this thing is incredible. If you have the wall space (it’s a full 189cm wide!), it completely transforms your living room into a home cinema. The Good: • Gaming Performance: The 144Hz refresh rate is the real deal. I’ve hooked up my console, and the motion is incredibly fluid with zero noticeable lag. Having HDMI 2.1 ports is a must for the newer systems. •Picture Quality: The QLED tech makes the colours really pop, and the brightness for HDR10+ content is impressive for this price bracket. Deep blacks and vibrant highlights. •Audio: Surprisingly good sound for built-in speakers. The Onkyo 2.1 setup with the integrated sub gives it much more "thump" than your standard flat-screen. •Google TV: The interface is snappy and easy to navigate. Having BBC iPlayer and all the UK catch-up apps pre-installed is very convenient. Things to Note: •Size/Setup: This TV is huge and heavy. You definitely need two (or even three) people to unbox and mount it safely. •Port Location: Just a heads-up for cable management—when you’re looking at the screen, the HDMI ports are on the right and the power cable is on the left. Overall, if you want a giant 85-inch screen that doesn’t compromise on gaming features or sound, this is probably the best value-for-money set on the market right now.

A solid budget TV, but it shows
Overall, this is a competent TV on a budget. However, you'll be hard pressed to see the difference between 1080p sources and 4K sources in most cases. HDR sources can be a bit dark and washed out looking as the TV lacks the nits required to really reveal the true quality of HDR. However, maximizing the brightness, using the brightness+ option and Dynamic Colour option can certainly help, albeit to a limited degree. The TV offers some options that can help smoothen the frame rate. This can work reasonably well with low framerate content. However, it can also look somewhat artificial and give the so called "soap opera effect" to certain sources, such as movies. I would recommend using the "custom" option and using low values for blur and judder reduction to help limit this effect while still allowing for a smoother framerate. I would have given this 3 stars, however, the audio quality earns an additional star. The sound quality overall is great. The dialogue is clear, even at low volumes. I would recommend keeping the "Bass Enhancer" on low or even off, as it can be a bit too much, even at lower volumes when it comes to high bass scenes in films or in music. But the overall sound quality is very good and better than what you would expect from a TV at this price range. The TV setup is easy. Although I just set it up in basic mode as I had no use for the Google+ mode. I can't comment on the connectivity as I choose to leave my TV offline (those that know, know). I instead use a Firestick for all of my online needs. The remote control is "fine". It does it's job. I have no use for the app shortcut buttons at the bottom, but I'm sure they pay TCL a pretty penny to have them included on the remote. Everything else works as expected. You can certainly get better for more money, but at the price point this TV is at, it's fine for what it is.

Great TV for Gaming, Movies and Dolby Atmos – Excellent Value for Money
I bought this TV mainly for gaming and home entertainment, and it exceeded my expectations in every area. The 144Hz panel with VRR makes a huge difference — gameplay feels incredibly smooth, responsive and free of tearing. If you’re into fast‑paced games, this TV handles them effortlessly. For movies and streaming, the picture quality is genuinely impressive for the price. The QLED panel delivers strong contrast, vibrant colours and very solid HDR performance, especially in darker scenes where cheaper TVs usually struggle. Motion handling is clean, and the overall image looks sharp and well‑balanced straight out of the box. One of the key reasons I chose this model was Dolby Atmos and eARC support. I use it with a soundbar, and the connection is stable with no audio dropouts. Atmos content from Prime Video and other apps works perfectly, giving a noticeably more immersive soundstage. The smart system is fast, apps load quickly, and the whole TV feels responsive. Build quality is also better than expected at this price point. Overall, this is a fantastic choice if you want a TV for gaming, movies and Atmos audio without spending a fortune. Great performance, great features, and genuinely great value. Why to buy Samsung for twice bigger price??? Pointless

Cracking TV
I've been using the tv for a few months now and so far have no complaints. Good picture, cracking sound, exceptional value for money and despite the large screen it doesn't heat the room up like a sauna. Thought I'd give TCL a try after doing some research and finding a lot of positive reviews. I'd recently had a bad experience with an 8k Samsung tv that cost £2500 but only lasted 15mths and requires a £1200 new screen after burning itself out. Most of the manufacturers are now having their tv sets made at the same factory in Turkey and I believe Sony have now joined them too. The days of brand snobbery are gone, its now about value for money and just hope it lasts a few years 🙏
