TCL 85T8C-UK 85 Inch 4K 144Hz Gaming QLED Onkyo 2.1 Dolby Atmos Google TV with Dolby Vision & HDR 10+ BBC iPlayer (2025 Model)

This tele is absolutely amazing !!! First off....The delivery drivers were really professional and very helpful,they brought it in carefully and even unboxed it to check for any visual damage for me,so thank you to them for that !!! It was very easy to hang on my wall bracket,it's actually light enough and thin enough for me to pick up on my own and land it on the hangers,but,do so at your own risk,lol !!! All the equipment that should have came with it was all present and correct,the remote is easy to use and set out well,it was simple to set up,and the Internet connection was easy !!! The picture and clarity is phenomenal,even compared to my 55" Samsung 4K,Ultra HD,Crystal LED in my bedroom,and the sound is actually much better,the built in tele speakers are awesome to be perfectly honest,definitely the best tele I've had !!! I've actually bought a TCL sound bar to go under it and it's even better again with that,because they both sync up and work together,it's like my own personal cinema,it's fantastic !!! Everything is on here I need telewise,TCL freeview tele is good enough to watch,it's very similar to Samsung TV,with tonnes of channels.It also has an aeriel input for terrestrial TV,obviously !!! Google TV is ready if you want to buy all the latest films,series,docs,etc.... You can personalize everything on here,and so can all your family,in their own profiles for whoever's watching if you want !!! All the smart stuff is on here too,Netflix,Prime,You Tube,etc....You can even use AI to create your own screensavers,it's great !!! I bought a screen sensor with backlight LED'S for mine aswell,it's so immersive when watching films and playing games,I never want to go out again,haha !!! My PS5 plays amazing on here and it's set up on HDMI at 144 hz,And my VR2....OMG,it's so real I was getting motion sickness on the roller coasters,haha !!!!....The picture is that crystal clear it's unbelievable !!! I'm not a tele expert by any means but I guarantee a 1000 pound tele is no different to this.The whole package is worth every single penny,I paid about 500 I think,I truly highly recommend it to anyone. I recently upgraded to the 85-inch TCL T8C (2025 model), and the scale of this thing is incredible. If you have the wall space (it’s a full 189cm wide!), it completely transforms your living room into a home cinema. The Good: • Gaming Performance: The 144Hz refresh rate is the real deal. I’ve hooked up my console, and the motion is incredibly fluid with zero noticeable lag. Having HDMI 2.1 ports is a must for the newer systems. •Picture Quality: The QLED tech makes the colours really pop, and the brightness for HDR10+ content is impressive for this price bracket. Deep blacks and vibrant highlights. •Audio: Surprisingly good sound for built-in speakers. The Onkyo 2.1 setup with the integrated sub gives it much more "thump" than your standard flat-screen. •Google TV: The interface is snappy and easy to navigate. Having BBC iPlayer and all the UK catch-up apps pre-installed is very convenient. Things to Note: •Size/Setup: This TV is huge and heavy. You definitely need two (or even three) people to unbox and mount it safely. •Port Location: Just a heads-up for cable management—when you’re looking at the screen, the HDMI ports are on the right and the power cable is on the left. Overall, if you want a giant 85-inch screen that doesn’t compromise on gaming features or sound, this is probably the best value-for-money set on the market right now.

This is a fantastic tv - easy to set up even all the apps - throwing videos from my iPad is easy to do Picture quality is crystal clear and the sound is actually quite good but decided to keep my current sound bar as I already had it anyway. Didn’t realise it also had UHD so that’s a great extra I didn’t realise I was getting. Loads of points on the back but I only need 3 x HDMI connections but it’s nice to have the extras anyway. Highly recommended

For the price theres not much to say .. but what a bargain...the picture is very good the sound is amazing and for anyone wandering like I was ... VRR and ALLM on the ps5 both work with this TV aswell as all the other console options available... I personally cannot fault this TV for the price

I'm finally getting the best performance out of my ps5. This TV is awesome everything was easy to set up. Be advised you will need the correct HDMI cable for the 2.1 ports to get the full benefits.

The TV is incredible. It was supposed to have a free set up service but the delivery man asked if I had an old TV to be taken away and I said no, which he took to mean I didn't want the set up service and left. He was polite and friendly but to be honest I didn't feel a hundred percent comfortable with him in my house, though possibly just me as I've been recovering from a serious illness, so I didn't mind setting this massive TV up myself, which thankfully I did, taking time and care. Make sure you put the left and right feet on the correct sides. The 65 inch TV is hugely impressive and I was shocked at the size difference between 65 inch and 50 inch. It's just beautifully massive and games and movies in 4K really come to life. It takes a larger screen to appreciate the detail. The remote control is a bit too simplistic given the number of functions actually available. But overall an incredible TV.

Can't recommend this enough. Has all of the features you want, plus a few you never heard of. Runs Google TV so it integrates with any home automation and there are plenty of apps to go at. Another good thing is that there's not much clutter... Sure, TCL ship it with a few apps, but it's not as egregious as most manufacturers and they're not secretly harvesting my data. Screen is excellent. TV also also well made. Overall, I'm very happy.
