NOT A GOOD ITEM.

First off, the package was delayed. However, I digress. When the package arrived, I was super excited to build it. I love building my furniture. I never had issues building things on my own. This product was the worst chair that I've ever seen.1 - The metal pieces were all rusted where the holes were and the ends of the metal pieces.2 - the manual/instructions were garbage. I literally sat in my living room, trying to understand this manual. It was like I was playing telestrations with this manual.3 - The pieces don't align. I've tried multiple ways in case I misinterpreted the manual. I even took their advice not to tighten the bolts until the final steps. The backrest didn't even fit. The chair legs were not flushed on the floor when they did fit. One leg would always be lifted (not touching the floor). The seat took some pressure to snap on. The screw meant to nail the backrest to the chair didn't fit. I could only screw 1/3of it into the chair hole. Then, it's bent in such a weird way that it was uncomfortable to sit in.4 - This product was $40+ after tax.Don't fall for this trap. I wish I could give it -5 stars.

The assembly instructions are not too clear (the seat support bars should be indicated by length, and you're left to figure it out on your own since they look IDENTICAL except for the length). Sooooo, I looked at the instructions a few times, pulled up a picture, and then watched the assembly video (three times!) posted on Amazon. You would think anything with just four parts would be pretty simple, right? Nope. After I got it assembled (the first time), the seat back would not line up with the uprights correctly and the whole chair leaned to one side. I made sure everything was tightened down (yup), and that parts were positioned correctly (yup), but that seat back was just not going on. I ended up putting a level on it (see, I'm not just a random idiot) and saw that one of the uprights was bent just enough so that it would allow anything to line up correctly. I bent it back and got the thing leveled and secured to the seat back. I attempted to contact the company using the 844 number provided in the paperwork, but got what sounded like a home answering machine in the middle of the day. Nope, didn't leave a message. Instead, I emailed the company with a pic and explanation.No, the carton wasn't damaged, and yes it was brought into the house immediately and yes, I have put together (LOTS) of furniture before this.If you decide to purchase - and I honestly think there are better products for the money - then be prepared to struggle some with the assembly and then get a little cavemanish when you have to bend the pieces to fit correctly.Good luck!

The media could not be loaded. It took me 30min to assemble it should have been shorter. But I had a problem getting the seat to align right when I was ready to return it the video was sent to me. After watching the video it told me force the seat on so I had to really pound it very hard to get it to snap on. The screws didn't want to go through the top so I got my screw driver out of my toolbox that turns and tighten at the same time as the screw. Always remember righty tighty lefty losey.

These were quite disappointing. They looked very cheap and unsturdy once put together. They lasted long enough in my office for my new chair to arrive. Bright them home and put them on the patio and once cracked within a couple of months with minimal use.

I was slightly concerned about how assembly would go given the other reviews here, but I didn't have any of the trouble that other people reported, e.g., all of the holes seemed well-aligned and the chair came together in about 15 minutes. Is it a luxury chair? No. Should a full-sized adult use it regularly? No. Is it affordable and sized well for a "big kid" or teenager - a solid YES.
