This acclaimed bilingual children’s book, Spanish/English, is a fun way to introduce simple words and phrases in both languages and is sure to be a welcome resource at home and in schools and libraries. Monica Brown and Rudy Gutierrez team up to deliver what Kirkus called, in a starred review, an “inspiring blend of art and story,” about the most famous soccer star in the world, Pelé. This bilingual picture book will inspire, teach, and amaze readers as they learn about the man who revolutionized the sport of soccer. Do you know how a poor boy from Brazil who loved fútbol more than anything else became the biggest soccer star the world has ever known? This is the true story of Pelé, King of Soccer, the first man in the history of the sport to score a thousand goals and become a living legend. Rudy Gutierrez’s dynamic illustrations make award-winning author Monica Brown’s story of this remarkable sports hero come alive! Review: Bilingual - I like buying spanish books for my son because my husband speaks spanish and I want to expose my sons too. But many books are in only spanish or the bilingual is very.. google translate. This is a good translation and good for soccer/futbol fans. Personally I'm not a fan of the artwork, but that's okay. Review: Wonderful book for children! - I bought this book for my two grandsons, ages five and six. I love the illustrations and the fact that each page is in english and spanish! What a great learning tool and great story of a terrific athlete!

Vivid!
Thank you for timely shipment and this will be great for dual language parents and students. I just wish the driver didn't throw the box on my porch. The book cover was all wrinkled at one corner. I've seen videos of drivers throwing boxes, however this is the first time I saw it in plain sight.

Correcto para niños
Es un libro pequeño, pero útil para mi hijo de 10 años, y su trabajo del colegio. Hay mejores pero están en inglés, éste, trae parte en español y traducido al inglés. Lo recomiendo.
