**Q: do the cars float when they are out of the boat?**
A: They do float, but for a very short time.  I'm more inclined to just say no. However, when my grandson is playing in the tub, the cars have stayed above water.

**Q: Does it let water in the boat to create mold?**
A: My boat definitely created mold which leaked out into the bath water. We had to throw it out.

**Q: Will it float? Noticed one review said it didn't.**
A: All of the green toys (I own all 4) float very well! We love them!

**Q: Why is it called green ?**
A: The plastic used is made from recycled soda bottles.  "Green" as in recycled material. Hope that helps.  -Itty Bitty City staff.
