the other one did and is growing beautifully with multiple shoots
Hi, I'm not an expert but I did order two of these plants and one right now is growing in my yard; one of the plants didn't grow well even though it was healthy when I received it. However, the other one did and is growing beautifully with multiple shoots, at least up to 3 feet tall. The plants were healthy and a good size when I received them, with plenty of leaves on them. I've had at least two caterpillars on my one plant at a single time, and right now there is a Monarch butterfly that has been hanging around my house for the past 1-2 weeks who is attracted to it as well as other flowers in my garden, but mostly the milkweed. Get ready to take beautiful pictures if you purchase this and it flourishes. I also have a drought tolerant yard with tubing providing the water source, as well as the limited rain we've had this year in Southern California, and the plant is thriving!

Very good condition.
I first purchased 2 and after a few days they did so well that I purchased 3 more. All five of them were planted in my butterfly garden the day they arrived and so far so good. The first two are even growing new leafs and flowers started blooming. The most exciting part is that I already found one tiny caterpillar and 5 eggs. The plant itself is not at all as the picture. Four were more of a stem with leafs. However, as I mentioned before they all seem to be growing and thriving.

Not a gallon pot
So I guess I was duped by dishonest advertising. The photo clearly shows a large plant in a gallon pot, as does many of the glowing reviews, but when you read the description it says 4 inch pot or gallon pot depending on availability. But you pay the same amount either way. So I paid $30 for something that is the size of my hand. When I tried to return it, the seller refused because he claims he sent what was described. Do yourself a favor and go to your local nursery and take a pass on this seller.

A well-grown plant ready to produce flowers.
The plant arrived quickly and was in perfect condition. I planted it in the garden the day after it arrived and it started developing flowers right away. I bought this to attract more butterflies. I already have Common Milkweed but their flowers seem to attract only bees, but I wanted a butterfly plant too.

I expect an excellent season for raising and releasing monarchs
I ordered 5 plants to evaluate the source. They arrived 3 days ago and we planted them. They are by far the healthiest, most vigorous appearing plants I have ever received by mail. I have used multiple sources in the past, but will now sole source from this site. I have placed an order for 20 more. I expect an excellent season for raising and releasing monarchs.

Beautiful plants
Beautiful plants. Came quickly and properly packaged. They make a lovely orange/red flower that the butterflies love!

Not as Depicted in Picture
The plant is shown as a full leafy plant in a 1 gallon pot. What arrived was a FEDEX flat box (16X8X2) Like what one small piece of clothing would be packed in. The plant was two little stems with a total of 15 leaves, and a root ball the size of a child's fist. The root ball was wrapped in brown paper and thin plastic, no pot. On the positive side, the leaves were green but this is Totally misrepresented in the product picture. My Monarch catapillars would strip the few leaves on this plant bare in a day.

Beautiful
Beautiful bright and vivid color combo of red and yellow flowers for the Monarchs. Did awesome in the ground outside in warmer weather. Brought inside for winter however and did really good for most of the winter and spring, but died on me about a month ago. Will get another one.
