CFX5-45Liter Portable Refrigerator (call it like it is, NOT a cooler). Yup, you'll get you value, durability, capacity in a quality portable fridge that will last many years. You get what you pay for, and this is a prime example of that. Beautiful fit and finish, performance is outstanding, easily and quickly got to my goal temp of 34 degrees f from 70 degrees when I first plugged it in. Bought the cover too, which is excellent. Documentation is scant, but I used AI to guide me on the pairing of bluetooth (you need the app on your phone before you attempt this). Purchased one of the last Dometic PLB40 battery power supplies that should be arriving in a couple of days. Impressed with this product, and I am sure you will be too. Downside: its heavy.

Nothing but trouble and HORRIBLE customer phone support. Dometic says they don't provide technical support to consumers, only repair people. Software problems, doesn't hold a steady temperature, bluetooth is wonky, works intermittently, powering on sometimes problematic.

I'd been using a $250 Chinese cooler for sometime - ran fine on 12V from my truck forever and then when I needed it, it died. I did all the research and discovered that the Dometic - while more money than most - was simply the best and most reliable fridge / freezer available. It's evacuated walls insulate the cooler without added weight and keep my food cold...I set it at 36 degrees and walk away. It's a perfect size for me (45L) and I can store food for 2 people for a week without issue. It's very simple to use, with connections available via Bluetooth to monitor the fridge from around the truck. It comes with a divider that helps keep things organized - and I chose to equip mine with an optional durable protective cover (sold separately) to keep it from getting dinged and scratched. It's very quiet - and uses almost no electricity (15-25w when running cold. )

I am impressed how well this works. Within 20 minutes or so the temperature dropped from ambient 75F to 39F. An hour later I had a cold beverage to confirm it all. My intention is to use it for extended travel and camping. It's about 40# and a bit larger than I had expected. It'll only get heavier once loaded with food. Got it during Amazon Prime sale days recently. My only beef (with Amazon) is I purchased the first day of the sale but 3 days later the price dropped $70. There was no way for Amazon to make an adjustment. Be careful buying anything at Amazon. Get the best price you can.

The door won’t close. Customer service advised returning it and purchasing a new one, rather than exchanging it. This is advantageous for them since they raised the price, making it $80 more just to have their defect fixed. It’s poor customer service and low-quality construction. Typical Dometic non-customer service. The door was defective from the start. Who checks these things? Now 6 months later and it stopped working. No help from tech support. Junk

This is a review of the Dometic CFX45. This is a quality cooler at a high price point. The build quality is excellent, the controls are simple, easy to use, and the cooler is whisper quiet. Because it uses compressor technology it’s on the heavy side, but the handles are robust making a loaded cooler an easy carry for two. The cooler functions well under both AC and DC power. There’s plenty of room for canned drinks and other food items such as fruit and veggies. I’ve owned several portable AC/DC coolers and the Dometic is by far the best in terms of quality and functionality,

I bought this for a 8 week tour of the USA. I chose Dometic because they are number 1 in the RV world. I did not take my RV on this trip but the unit kept our food/beverages cold. I powered it with the 110V outlet in my truck and when we were out exploring I used a 300w Solar panel to help the 300 and 350w power stations (in tandem). Turns out I should have doubled the solar array as the batteries drained rather quick to keep the unit running in 108F desert heat, but it ran strong and the contents never went bad. Now I'm using it as a back up fridge in the Florida Room. In the summer it will be in the shed to provide a cold break during outdoor activities.

Done lots of research before buying as it’s expensive but worth every penny used every day. Also bought cover well worth it

Wer etwas vernünftiges haben möchte ist hier richtig zwar teuer aber super Isoliert und top Kühlung.

Diese Kühlbox ersetzt meine alte - noch immer tadellos funktionierende CF40 - Kühlbox für den Wohnwagenurlaub. Während der Fahrt steht sie im Auto und versorgt die gesamte Familie mit kalten Getränken. Vorteile: ✅ Die CFX lässt sich wesentlich besser tragen als das alte Modell. Die Griffe sind extrem stabil und hochwertig. Die Griffe eignen sich auch sehr gut als Transportsicherung in Verbindung mit einem Spanngurt. ✅ 230V AC auf dem Campingplatz oder 12V DC im Auto. Beides läuft auch unter extremen Bedingungen im Sommer tadellos. ✅ Extrem leise. Keine Störgeräusche. Die alte Box war im Vergleich hierzu deutlich lauter, obwohl diese auch nicht störend waren. Die CFX ist aber quasi geradezu geräuschlos. ❌ Extrem hoher Preis, das gut das 4fache im Vergleich zur CF40, die es regelmäßig für 200€ hier bei Amazon im Angebot ist. ❌ Unnötige Features wie die Anzeige der Temperatur über die App. Ich stelle die Box dauerhaft auf 2°C ein und benötige die App nicht. ❌ Die Farbe auf den Fotos täuscht eine nahezu vollständige schwarze Box vor. In der Realität ist die Box grau. Trotzdem bin ich mit der Box sehr zufrieden und hoffe, dass diese uns auch etliche Urlaube mit stets gut gekühlten Getränken versorgen wird.

Das Produkt von der Kühlleistung ist wirklich Top - 4 Sterne (1Stern abgezogen, da nach Abschalten der Box, die Box sich sehr schnell wieder aufgewärmt hatte) . Was uns stört ist, dass der Deckel sich nur in Längsrichtung öffnen lässt. Wir finden es besser, wenn man den Deckel seitlich und zwar von beiden Seiten öffnen kann. Was wir ganz schlecht finden, ist die App-Anbindung - damit tut dich Dometic kein gefallen. Sehr wahrscheinlich gibt es hier keine Weiterentwicklung. Das erste Problem war, das wir in der Anleitung nichts dazu gefunden haben, erst nachdem wir im Internet gesucht hatten und dann die richtige App gefunden hatten, klappte es. Also das Thema muss Dometic sich noch einmal auf die Fahne schreiben und deutlich verbessern. Hier finde ich die Anbindung und der Funktionsumfang von EcoFlow richtig gut gemacht. Da klappte alles auf anhieb - Wlan anbindung und Bluetooth. Wir haben die Dometic dann zurückgeschickt, da wir das mit dem Deckel, schnelles Aufwärmen derBox und auch mit der App nicht gut gefunden haben, zumal in solch einer Preisklasse.
