After reading a lot of reviews, I found Lemi Shine. I figured it was worth a try. I believe this product is doing a better job of cleaning my washing machine. In addition to the cleaning powder, it also includes a wiping cloth. Nice touch. I believe my washing machine is much cleaner now. Both from a scent and visual perspective. I liked the product enough that I also purchased their dish washer cleaner.
Review: Great for water with calcium deposits. - After figuring out that I had to put this in the soap dispenser compartment instead of directly in the drum of my LG washer, it has worked like a charm! This stuff is specially useful if you have a water neutralizing system. Not only did it clean the washer, it got rid of odor I had struggled with. I've been able to get their dishwasher cleaner at Target, but I've never been able to find this one. Thanks desertcart!!

**Q: Why the price gouging on Amazon? These go for $6.99 per box at the store**
A: So, Lemi Shine more than triples the price to cover shipping?  It's being delivered by Amazon, from an Amazon warehouse.  I'm already paying for Amazon Prime Free Shipping, and if I wasn't, I'd have to pay a shipping fee to Amazon.  $7 for the product, $15 for shipping?

**Q: The description says 4 pouches/wipes per box but the image shows 5 per box. Which is is?**
A: For a limited time, each box will contain a bonus cleaning pouch and wipe in addition to the ones listed in the description, so essentially 10 uses instead of 8.

**Q: Does it remove mold residue?**
A: Yes

**Q: What is the difference between this and the general appliance cleaner (blue box) aside from the wipes? Is it the same or better?**
A: I have used both and they both work affectively to clean my washing machine after I wash my dog’s bedding. I think the purple washing machine specific one smells a little bit nicer and the general appliance cleaner seems to suds more but I have found that both work I just buy whichever is cheapest and in stock because I have trouble finding both products recently.

I used the hottest temperature. I think that helped in the cleaning process. It seems fine and easy to use. I have a front loader. I figured I'd try this rather than using bleach or vinegar all the time. Time will tell I guess.
