The Coway Airmega is amazing! Super quiet, sleek design, and it really makes a difference in air quality. I noticed the air feels fresher within hours, and my allergies have improved a lot. It covers a large area perfectly and the smart features (like air quality indicator and auto mode) make it effortless to use. Filters are easy to change, and the overall build feels high quality. Definitely worth the investment if you care about clean, healthy air at home.

Absolutely amazing. Clears the air in our living area in under an hour, including pet smells. Clears Master bedroom air in maybe 30min, quieter than our AC except for turbo mode.

This was very easy to set up and it does an amazing job and removing odors from the house, specifically food smells after cooking. Truth is, I keep it in turbo pretty much 24/7, so I can only speak for that. Great purchase, looks beautiful and I really like the option to change the light color or turn it off. We'll see how long it lasts, but so far, I'm very satisfied.

I had never heard of Coway but this unit scored fairly high by a leading consumer website (CR) so I was less hesitant spending this much on an unknown Chinese brand. But I'm impressed so far. Even the manual is fairly well written and explains most things clearly. It's nearly dead silent at its slowest speed. At medium it provides some muted "white noise" that's not too objectionable. At high it can be unpleasant sort of like a range hood on high. It also has a "turbo" mode which is essentially a fourth speed that makes even more noise but should help clean a large area more quickly. It's in use in a "great room" living room/kitchen area. I'm not sure it's specified but based on the unusually low power consumption and 4 speeds I suspect this uses a brushless DC motor which ideal for this application. Many air cleaners use AC motors which cost at least 3 times more to run as they're very inefficient. It has some nice features you don't find on some of the competition. For example you can choose between several options for the lights on the unit including completely off so it won't be a distraction in a dark bedroom at night. And the lights themselves are fairly discrete anyway although the colored ring displaying the detected air quality is somewhat obvious in a darkened room but you can turn it off. The air quality sensor has 3 levels of sensitivity. It also has a light sensor and can automatically switch to its night/near silent mode when the room goes dark. It has an auto/eco mode that chooses the fan speed based on the detected air quality. So, for example, if you create smoke in the kitchen it will detect it and increase the fan speed and lower it back down when it clears the smoke. In terms of how effective it is that's more difficult to judge. We bought it for 3 reasons. Spring is allergy season with lots of pollen and it does seem to help reduce allergy symptoms as long as you stay indoors and in the area it's filtering. We also randomly get wildfire smoke here and the outdoor AQI can get quite poor with lots of visible smoke. This should help better remove it beyond the whole house filter in our HVAC system but we haven't been able to test that yet. And, third, it helps with cooking odors as it has an activated carbon filter. The replacement filters on this are relatively inexpensive compared to much of its competition. You can also get third party filters for even less. Between the low energy use and filter price this was rated one of the least expensive units to operate by CR with this kind of capacity. Speaking of capacity this unit is bigger than it looks in the pics and weighs 18 pounds but it's still not hard to find a place for it. I prefer the cylinder format over a big wide flat unit. Why only 4 stars? Mainly it's the noise at higher speeds. I'm not sure this is very effective on low (and CR rated it as such). In a smaller room, like a bedroom, low would probably work better. But in a large space not so much. There are units in this capacity class that are quieter at middle and high speeds but they're typically around twice the price or more. They're also usually even larger. The filter is reasonably easy to access and replace. It's sealed in plastic to preserve the activated carbon which needs to be removed before using it. You can vacuum off the pre-filter on the outside but I think that's true of most air purifiers. Overall I'm happy so far but don't know how long it will last. The most likely point of failure will be the bearings in the motor especially if it's running 7/24. It will be interesting to see how well the air quality sensor works in the auto mode under various conditions. If this ends up working well I might get another one for the bedroom.

We have long struggled with a musty odor in our home, and within one month the odor has been eliminated. When we run it on the lowest setting, it is so quiet we don’t realize it’s in. This purchase has been worth every penny.

Great air filter. Works well, quiet when set to low. Seems to clean the air well and it, and the filter are heavy duty, well made product.

I have two cats and a parrot so decided to add another air purifier to the main living area of the house. I have used a Coway Mighty in the bird's room for almost a decade so kept with the brand and upgrade. Its sleek design is large but blends into the background. I leave it on auto mode and other than when it ramps up to deal with dust or odor is very quiet. It goes into and out of night mode when tge light is at a certain level. I sweep off the filter every couple weeks as suggested, which is easy to do.

J’adore la conception de ce purificateur. J’ai déjà quatre Coway AP-1512HH à la maison, mais celui-ci m’a vraiment impressionné par son efficacité. Je n’osais plus cuisiner du poisson, car l’odeur restait souvent plusieurs jours dans la maison. Dès que j’ai reçu ce modèle, j’ai fait le test. Franchement, le lendemain, il n’y avait pratiquement plus aucune odeur. J’étais vraiment impressionné. Je fais également de l’apnée du sommeil et je me réveille souvent avec le nez bouché. J’ai remplacé mon ancien purificateur par celui-ci dans ma chambre. Dès la première nuit, je me suis réveillé plus reposé et avec une respiration beaucoup plus dégagée. Ce qui m’a le plus surpris, c’est que mon indice d’apnée, qui se situe habituellement entre 1,5 et 1,9, est descendu à 0,6 pendant deux nuits consécutives. Je ne peux pas dire avec certitude que le purificateur est le seul responsable, mais la différence est suffisamment importante pour être remarquée. Pour moi, c’est un excellent achat. Très efficace, silencieux, avec un superbe design. Je le recommande sans hésitation.
