I've used almost one container in 5 months, and when I went to renew it yesterday, it was $49 from Amazon (but $22 from some other seller). Today Amazon priced the same thing at $27. The Neutrogena website has it for $35. There are negative reviews for old or opened product, so I'm suspicious of the cheaper prices. For that reason, I ended up buying it in a store instead of Amazon. As for the product, I'm pleased with the results on my forehead wrinkles, and when I also get Botox my forehead is glassy smooth. I can't tolerate it on my neck at all - after only one night my neck itches for a week. I appreciate that this product contains the strength on the label (0.3%) and wish all the retinol products had that information so I could confidently buy a weaker product for my neck.

This cream works as well as my prescription for Retinol, for a fraction of the cost. NOTE: Don't do like I did and start off using it nightly! The skin on my face became reddened, tight, very VERY flaky and the itch was unbearable! After a little research, I found that you start off using it once or twice weekly, and gradually increase as tolerated by your skin. Duly noted!

Let's be clear. I am 65 years old with wrinkles, so I am not expecting miracles. Even though my skin is sensitive, it has been "good skin" - especially in the last 30 years - no blemishes or discolorations, and very smooth. My dermatologist suggested this particular product as it was the strongest OTC retinol you could get. He said it would help "strengthen" my skin and even it out. But he cautioned me to only use a pea-sized amount for my whole face and only apply it at night, because it reacts badly with the sun. I followed his and the package directions to a T. I washed my face first, used my nightly eye cream just on my eyes, applied the Neutrogena everywhere except my eyes, then moisturized with my normal night cream. The first night, the retinol immediately made my face red, but it didn't sting. (With my sensitive skin, I was anticipating a ZING! But nothing.) Per the directions, I waited a couple nights and followed the same routine. Same result. Repeated it a couple nights later, then went to every other night, then graduated to "almost" nightly. It still makes my face red, but I still have never felt dryness or stinging. Do I see a difference after one month? Can't say I do YET, but I am going to give it at least 90 days. If there's even a HINT of improvement, I am sticking with it. A jar will last for MONTHS so it's not that expensive in the big scheme of things. (P.S. I noticed no scent whatsoever, and, no, it is NOT a moisturizer, so you need to stick with your normal moisturizer over the top of this.)

I really like this night cream. A little bit goes a long way and it moisturizes without being greasy. It is very easy to apply and I have never had any reaction to the ingredients. I have normal skin. I use this almost every night and a jar lasts me almost a year!! A great value.

Here's what I like, along with the real results. The label tells you the amount of retinol in the product. "Peter what are you using so that you don't look old?" my two friends asked me. They are doctors working at mainstream hospitals nearby. I've been using Neutrogena Retinol Pro+ two or three times a week for more than a year. I'm an ex-smoker, age 76 who otherwise has always had a pretty healthy lifestyle. Neutrogena Retinol Pro+ is easy to use. I didn't have any side-effects. I learned the habit of washing my face with soap mornings and most nights. You might say that this is a lot of trouble, but I do it. Using an SPF face lotion several days a week might also be called a hassle, but I do it. I shopped for the least expensive name brand. My wife is really beautiful, twelve years younger, and has natural wrinkles at the corner of her eyes. I still have the forehead creases and the shrinking lines around the mouth that are too deep for any cosmetic product, I think. But without the Neutrogena Retinol Pro+ maybe they would be lots worse!

All the neutrogena retinol products are great. I use the night retinol cream in conjunction with the eye cream and I feel a difference in my skin. Keep in mind that retinol products require time for your skin to adjust. I did not take the warnings on the box seriously about breaking up the days and taking it slowly. In a matter of days my skin was tight (in a bad way!), itchy, and dry. Luckily, I had the neutrogena hydroboost night cream and day moisturizing gel, both of which are super hydrating so I hydrated up until my skin returned to normal. After that, I took it slow -- hydroboost most nights and then the retinol products 2-3 nights a week. That worked. Within 2 weeks my skin acclimated to the retinol and I am able to use it most nights. It's a good product. I periodically check ebay for better price points.. consider doing that yourself. Otherwise, go for it!

Bought it by accident thinking it is the same as non-pro product. But it seems to work well.

Very good - might cause drying so make sure to moisturize No fragrance

I don’t like the package as other comments here, but for the function: age care, it’s the best I have never had. I usually use it at night , and when I wake up, my skin does look much better.
