I didn't want frills as the bathroom is used by mostly guys. The product is good quality but not high end. It looks like a dark brown suede. The covers do no slip off and are very soft to the touch. They look like they will easily clean in the washer on warm, regular cycle and air dry. The covers are not thick but do seem sturdy.
