SO GOOD! Get this for your recipe
Spanish Chorizo cannot be replaced or substituted for Mexican chorizo because they are completely different, so this is a great Product to go for if your local grocery stores don't carry any. I was a little worried about buying meat from Amazon but it was cured and vacuum sealed very well like a quality jerky or summer sausage. I used this to make genuine Spanish-style stuffed mushroom tapas for my in-laws who have been to Spain and love Spanish cuisine. Me and my husband loved the flavor, but even my in-laws had nothing but good reviews even with their experience!

It’s ok, but there was a spice in this that I wasn’t expecting.
I’ve ordered several chorizos via Amazon, and this one was ok but nothing amazing. There is a spice in this one that I can’t quite pinpoint, which was bit jarring to my tastebuds. Having said that, it was great in paella. But some leftover diced chorizo I put into other dishes resulted in the unusual flavor note being very noticeable to me and I didn’t care for that.

This stuff is trash. Has no flavor. And smells like rotting flesh. Don't waste your money.

Delicious Chorizo
This chorizo is delicious. We made arroz congri with it. It was a hit. One package was the perfect amount for a family size dish. I'm glad I ordered multiple packages!

Not very close to actual Spanish Chorizo
Came packaged well, with a Dec 2024 expiration date. I ordered these to see if I could find a lower cost substitute for Palacios branded Chorizo. These lacks the flavor of smoked Paprika used in Chorizo made in Spain. The sausage is very lean (but you normally want more fat content in this case). The chucks of fat you do find lack the nutty flavor of meat from pigs raised on acorns (I know I'm being snooty, but keep in mind these are made in New Jersey). I would say this would work in a home-made Paella dish as long as you added smoked paprika to the dish yourself. They are definitely edible if sliced thin and put on a buttered piece of crusty bread (I like them with fresh European style Rye, but that's a personal preference).

Spanish chorizos from Spain
It was what I was needing and it worked in my receipts for Spanish and Cuban cuisine. Spanish chorizo is very different from the Mexican chorizo.
