Does this moisturize your hair? Absolutely. Does it smell good? In my opinion, yes. This styling cream isn’t overly oily and provides a nice amount of moisture to your hair after you’ve washed it. Rather than my hair feeling dry and brittle it has a very nice shine that doesn’t feel oily. The issue really does come down to cost. I would suspect that some might not have a problem with the price, but I do find many other products with the same natural ingredients for about half the cost of this. That said, the mixture works well and does have its own unique scent that is pleasant. At $19 MSRP, it is a bit on the higher price-side of options for hair moisturizer.

I’ve a sensitive scalp so I haven’t been able to have anything on my hair and even if I could it was greasy. This is the first product in I don’t know how many years that works with my very lightweight, thin and easy over product-saturated hair! Even though I only put a small amount it on the lower half of my hair it’s better than nothing. It’s the formulation is thick but on my hair it’s light, keeps curls looking natural and doesn’t drag my hair down.

This stuff is great to work in to damp hair to soften , moisturize and define curls. I let airdrop after applying. it is really thick and has a decent pleasant scent too. My hair is always so dry and frizzy so Im always looking for a good cream to work in and soften and define curls. I really liked this and would order again.

I’ll start with the plus of this one…it smells absolutely amazing and adds shine! It has a wonderful, refreshing lemon citrus scent. Unfortunately, it doesn’t leave my hair soft and manageable at all. In fact, it seems to dry it out and make it more brittle. I’m assuming the citrus oils in it are the reason. They are generally something that pulls excess oil out. I also didn’t see that it helped with curl definition or frizz either. I was disappointed. I love their other products and was hoping for great results with this as well, but unfortunately it doesn’t work great for my thick, curly hair.

Perfect! Works so well and smells amazing. Moisturiser my hair well. I will definitely try out other products from Afrocenchix! A great addition for afo textured hair and locs!

I really like this Afrocenchix Smooth Moisturising and Styling Cream. It smells great and has a very rich, thick consistency which feels lovely on my hair. It moisturises well without leaving my hair feeling heavy. You only need a small amount, so the product itself lasts well. The only issue for me is the bottle. Because the cream is so thick, it can be quite hard to squeeze out of the bottle, especially when your hands are wet. I worry that when it starts to run low, I may end up having to cut the bottle open to get the remaining product out. I think it would be much easier to use if it came in a tub or with a pump top. That aside, this is a really good product and the quality is there. I would buy it again, just hoping the packaging improves in future.

This appears to be a very good product. However, I am finding it impossible to get it out of the narrow bottle, as the cream is just too thick. This cream should be in a jar or container, rather than this narrow bottle.

Too thick to be in a bottle, difficult to squeeze out. I didn’t find the cream moisturising for my 4a hair. Wouldn’t purchase again.
