Neodymium Gold Old Style Key Fob Cover Compatible with Porsche

This is a very cool accessory and a nice "Tuesday" present for my wife's new Macan GTS. The instructions are at the bottom of the box, so it wasn't immediately apparent to me how to install it. At first, I even thought I may have bought the wrong item. It then occurred to me that you had to take the key sides off to install it, and sure enough, when I found the instructions hidden under the foam at the bottom of the box, that turned out to be true. Installation was not too difficult, and I used a small blade pocket knife to encourage the factory side pieces to gently snap off. Then installing the new pieces was straightforward. You do have to watch the positioning of the factory rubber center piece with the buttons on it so that everything sits flush when you're done. That part took two tries, but no big deal. Overall, a great product that doesn't look cheap and adds some flair to a snazzy, expensive new car.

I only wanted to replace the sides of my key fob, and now the fob looks great. Easy to follow instructions on the internet. So far, it is holding up well. Great value for the price compared to OEM. Carmine red color is awesome! I am rough on my keys so I figure it will get scratched up. Here is a picture of it on my car so you can see the color!

This just will not fit my 2018 Macan key fob. This is the second attempt, as I exchanged the first as defective, but this second key shell is the same-just will not fit even though I looked at all the YouTube videos, tried different sequences etc. Too bad, as it seems to be well made quality wise.

My dealer didn’t have these in stock and told me just to save money and buy on Amazon. First one arrived and had minor damage, but a replacement came quickly. It’s just painted plastic, so you will see scratches and marks eventually, even if the quality is pretty decent. The colored center piece looks awful, so I just left the silver on my keys.

This may be an unfair review. I was seeking a Fob damage cover (like for iphones and other key fobs) to protect from drops to the ground, especially concrete. This product was shown in my word search, and nothing better was listed so I ordered one to investigate. This item turns out to be a vanity product that just converts the standard Porsche Black fob plastic body to another color (flat Burgundy). Examining the product, it offered no additional protection like after-market covers for my Honda Fobs. So as a vanity product, it is quite good, in my view, comparable to the quality of plastic from Porsche. It just wasn't what I was seeking.

Was worried it wouldn’t match the red interior but it is IDENTICAL!!! Instillation was a little difficult, but eventually got it! Love the matte look, pretty good quality for the price.
