what are the benefits of taking these?

Supposedly your body absorbs B1 with benfontiamine more easily than B1 without. My wife took the B1 with benfontiamine along with B12 with methylcobalamin to greatly reduce the neuropathy in her legs caused by diabetes. All I know is that together they worked well.

Ya know, all bottled benfotiamine is made in the laboratory because it's not a natural substance, it's synthetic, it's a lipid derivative of Thiamine (Vitamine B-1). ...... and ya know what natural things have that thiamine B-1 in them in abundance? Almonds, Cashews and Walnuts, all natural, and you body absorbs their nutrients better than it does benfotiamine. I switched from synthetic benfotiamine to eating Almonds, Cashews, Walnuts and Pistachios in a mix, and my body thanked me with less diabetes ailments. Just sayin..........
