Great for adding to homemade sinus rinses
I purchased this to add to my Neilmed Sinus Rinse bottle. You can put like a 1/8-1/4 tsp in the regular solution to help treat sinus infections. Xylitol is a natural biofilm breaker. It helps prevent pathogens like bacteria from being able to adhere to the sinus tissues. I also found using this moisturizing, which helps my sinuses feel less raw, inflamed, and swollen. It's not an instant fix all, it takes time - but it makes breathing so much more comfortable.I have chronic severe sinus inflammation following a mold exposure years ago, and this is one of the main things that has improved comfort while trying to improve sinus/ear inflammation. I recommend using this in sinus rinse bottles, in combination with Xlear nasal spray (squeeze or pump bottles) between uses as it also contains xylitol, and using Hylands Earache Drops for ear pressure. You can add Colloidal Silver 10 ppm into the Neilmed Sinus Rinse bottle with xylitol (I use about 1/4 - 1/2 tsp of the colloidal silver), and 2 - 5 drops of Nutribiotic Grapefruit Seed extract, and mix well. Make sure the xylitol crystals are dissolved! They do dissolve pretty quickly and easily, but just make sure you can't see anymore crystals in the mixture before using on your nose. This mixture is a good antibacterial, antiviral, antifungal, and it's all natural. People recommend doing the rinses 1-2 times per day.Xylitol is also a sweetener for foods, such as baked goods. I have found the taste pleasant and lightly sweet in food and for the sinus rinses. It can be used in toothpaste or mouthwash too, to naturally help prevent cavities, as it helps prevent bacteria from adhering to teeth.Important note: Keep xylitol away from pets like cats and dogs. Their bodies are not able to process it like people, and consuming xylitol will seriously harm them and result in death. If your pet gets into xylitol they need to be rushed to the vet immediately. Just be sure to keep the product and any food items it's used in out of reach of animals. That being said, xylitol is totally safe for humans!I definitely recommend this product for people. It's natural and affordable, and makes a big difference in sinus issues for me.

Pretty close to sugar’s taste, better than stevia!
As a diabetic who has recently given up all artificial sweeteners, I have been trying alternatives to the artificials (aspartame, sucralose), as well as to good ole white sugar. I tried many brands of stevia, and really wanted to like it, but I’ve concluded that it’s like cilantro - there’s some kind of genetic predisposition that my tastebuds can’t tolerate! So I decided to give xylitol a try. Although xylitol is not calorie free, it does have a low glycemic index, and my doctor definitely approved. The Morning Pep people offer smaller sizes for sale (4-oz, in quality resealable bags), which made it so easy to try without wasting a lot of money - in case it turned out to be something I wouldn’t like. Their Birch Xylitol was definitely a great improvement over stevia, which I did spend a lot on, and couldn’t use (to my Daughter’s benefit, since she does like stevia!) While xylitol isn’t an exact match for sugar’s taste, it does come pretty close. It took a bit of trial and error to get the right level of sweetness; in the end, I found I preferred slightly less than if I used white sugar. (Note that I am using primarily for coffee, and can’t speak to its use for baking, etc.) Bonus: the sampler-sized refillable zip-top bag is perfect for carrying the xylitol with me for on-the-go sweetening. Bottom line, I’m glad I found Morning Pep Xylitol!

Sweeter than I thought
I like the taste, no after taste at all! I only used a teaspoon in my coffee this morning and it's pretty sweet and my glucose was good also! I've been using Truvia and it doesn't compare to the sweetness of this product. I'm very satisfied with this product!

Coarse crystals, slow dissolving
I needed a a small amount to experiment with adding it to my nasal rinse salts. It is supposed to be good for a healthy nasal microbiome. I have some kind of lingering nasal passage and sinus infection with my CPAP use that is resisting everything I throw at it. I think if you want this for baking you need a finer powder, not these coarse crystals that take a full minute to dissolve in agitated warm water. If the product was described more clearly as crystals, I would not have bought but it would be a 5 star for quality and US origin.

Tastes as close to sugar as you can get!
No weird after taste. Grains dissolve quickly. If you are trying quit sugar, this will help you with your plan!Make sure to keep away from your dog as it is toxic to dogs.

👍🏼
I’ve only used once, but it definitely sweet! I like that it’s made from birch. I don’t plan to ingest it, since I’ve read lots of not do great side effects from some people. I plan to swish in mouth for a few minutes, 2-3 times a day. Hoping it helps with oral care!
