Whats the difference between this and regular unrefined coconut oil?

Coconut oil is about 50% Lauric acid by volume. It also contains other types of fats. Lauric acid is a medium chain TRIglyceride. Monolaurin is its corresponding medium chain MONOglyceride which give them different properties in the body. When you consume lauric acid in coconut oil, a small percentage of that will be converted to monolaurin. Lauricidin contains just purified monolaurin.

Question 2

How many scoops of Lauricidin does this package contain?  I am trying to estimate how long this will last, depending on how much I take.

Each jar contains 75 scoops, so if you're taking 2 per day like I do you get about 5 weeks worth per container.  Your optimal dosage is best determined once you start taking it. The package directions indicate "up to 3" scoops per day.  It's not toxic but people do respond differently to different amounts, sometimes with various side affects like mild digestive upsets. You can safely experiment and find the right level for yourself.

Question 3

Why so important to take with 'something cool' -best time for me to take is with hot tea. What would be the problem with taking with hot tea? Thanks.

I don't know for sure but a friend chewed up some lauricidin  and found it to be quite hot.  The heat from the lauricidin stayed in her mouth for quite some time.  Perhaps drinking hot tea would cause it to melt and release the heat from it.  Just a guess

Question 4

These worked great several years ago, but recent packages don't appear to dissolve before I pass them. Is this a problem?

If they just pass, you aren't absorbing them. Since monolaurin is a fat, you should look into why you aren't absorbing fats... This is often related to bile production/storage, which can be related to liver function... But there's a lot of parts to the digestive system, so you might want to look into it/talk to a white coat person. Other symptoms of fat absorption issues are light colored, floating, and/or "greasy" stools (all signs of un-absorbed fats), and diarrhea.
