Further after finding a (correct fitting and voltage accurate) adaptor, one of the two devices started to instantly smoke. Looking into the device I saw that the soldering was sup paar and had a short circuit. This went straight intot the trash. Do not buy this.

Doesn't work, because it's LED "ultra violet" that is supposed to be the same as ultra violet that attracts insects. It doesn't. I had two of these in a closed room, night and day, failed to catch any of three flies.
