Nexium 24HR treats frequent heartburn (heartburn that occurs 2 or more days a week). Take Nexium 24HR every morning before eating with water for 14 days. Don’t exceed 14 days unless directed by your doctor. May take 1 to 4 days for full effect.

Can this product be used long-term?

Nexium 24HR is not for long-term use. Unless directed by your doctor, do not take more than 1 pill a day for more than 14 consecutive days. Do not repeat a 14-day course of treatment within 4 months. Contact your doctor if symptoms persist or worsen.

Antacids don’t block production of acid before it starts, like Nexium 24HR. Antacids work quickly, but effects last only 1-3 hours. H2s work for up to 12 hours - half the time of Nexium 24 HR, which provides relief for a full 24 hours.
