I actually have a hard time finding rice in my area (except in 50 lb. bags)! I am so glad that Amazon has reasonable size items in Prime Pantry! As I was getting ready to place my Prime Pantry order, the Basmati Rice Lundberg Organic California White Basmati Rice, 32 Ounce I had in my cart went out of stock. Basmati is the kind the husband likes (he is not a big fan of the chewiness of brown rice) so I was not sure what I was going to do. Then I saw this Jasmine Rice. I had not had Jasmine before but it got good reviews so I decided to give it a try. It came on Saturday and I fixed it for dinner on Monday night. It was a big hit! I prepared the rice in my rice cooker and used roughly equal parts rice and water and it came out perfect. The rice is very white and cooks up a little sticky (it holds together slightly) but it is not at all chewy. It smelled wonderful cooking and tasted even better! The item ships well and comes in a resealable package. Lundberg recommends storing in the refrigerator for extended shelf-life but I have never had a problem keeping rice in the pantry in an airtight container. This rice in non-GMO, gluten-free and raised organically. Lundberg Farms also uses 100% renewable energy. I would definitely recommend this product!

Lundberg is my favorite Jasmine Rice. Sooo good. When cooking I add a bit of olive oil and 1-2 teaspoons of apple cider vinegar. The vinegar adds to the good taste of the rice and softens it as well. When nearly done I turn off the stove and cover the pot - it makes the rice nice a fluffy. -- You also have the option to make one of my favorite dishes : CONGEE -- using this rice. I overcook it with extra water - add and cook with garlic and ginger - add shrimps (and other seafood if wanted) - for a delicious Asian Sup (CONGEE).

The bag is wonderful, it has this sort of "velco" seal to it... awesome! The rice is wonderful too. LOL I cook it up in a rice cooker. It is perfect every time! Not sticky, not heavy. Light and tasty. I know lots of people say all rice is the same...I disagree. Jasmine is my favorite. It has a subtle aroma and flavor that adds to the meal. If you have not tried Jasmine rice give it a go and see what you think. If you already like Jasmine rice then you know how great it is and add to that the cool sealing bag that helps keep it on the shelf...great stuff here folks!

good flavor, texture. the bag doesn't seal that well, but it's small enough you should go through it quickly
