Ammonium Bicarbonate (330ml) by , Traditional Leavening Agent Used in Flat Baked Goods Such as Cookies or Crackers

The quality of this baker’s ammonium is very disappointing. When I received it, the outer package had a few stains, which was not a big issue. The real problem is that after opening it, I found the powder had clumped into hard chunks of various sizes, extremely solid, which clearly shows a quality issue. It seems like it was exposed to moisture. Unfortunately, it cannot be returned, which is quite frustrating. I had to place another order, hoping the quality will be better this time.

Not that bicarbonate seems like a thing that could ever get a mediocre review... But it did exactly what I needed for baking. No problems at all with flavor or consistency. Amazingly glad to have found this as the price on Amazon is way better than in grocery stores and this is weirdly hard to come by in American stores if you like to bake European recipes. Really pleased with the quantity, too.

Zero stars. Product arrived in sealed bag but instead of bag feeling like it contains the powdered product it is full of rock hard lumps that cannot be broken apart. I wanted to return or exchange it but have discovered that is not an option. Very disappointed.

I received mine on April 30, 2022 and it has a Best By date of 02/2024.
