This air conditioner is AMAZING! It cools and/or dehumidifies three rooms at once in a 5th floor apartment. Our living room is about 800 sqft and the other two rooms add up to a bit less than 800 sqft. The best part is how quietly it functions. We also have another 14K BTU air conditioner (not a dual inverter) in a third bedroom, but it is loud and doesn't cool as large a space. Hands down the best AC I've ever experienced. It was not difficult to install. Yes, one must install it in two phases, the "shell", then install the actual AC, but it was seamless. I thought it would be more difficult, but it was easier. It seems annoying, but it's not bad. If you live in a humid environment (like NYC can sometimes be, even if the temperature doesn't rise above 75°F), or a place where the temperature can rise above 85°F when the sun shines through your window(s), I HIGHLY recommend this air conditioner.

Expect some damage in shipment and from what I seen that varies, however, I feel this unit was worth it. we were able to repair the delivered fin damage and bent plug. The unit works wonderfully!! it keeps the room cool with our high vaulted ceilings and cools much more square footage than the 7 or 800 sq ft it is supposed to cool. You can point the airflow in several directions and that works perfectly to move the air down a hallway and to other rooms. it also is wonderful at dehumidifying the room if you live in a high humidity area. All this on the money saver setting and it's very quiet! we barely notice it being on. This one is worth it it feels like central air conditioning!!

Damaged. This item weighs 95lbs. I was not about to return it because of this. I never explored scheduling a pick up because I figure it might still work. I install the unit. About a month or two later, it started to give off this loud ringing noise. Horrible to the ears and wake me up at night. And most likely this is the reason why. On the front of the unit and there are dents that are leaning on the coils. At least that’s what the LG warranty people said when I sent them a photo. See the photos. Fortunately, I’m covered under LG warranty. I have no idea how this could have happened because the unit was wrapped very well. This had to happen on the manufacturing line and instead of replacing it they figured the customer would use the warranty. This is just horrible. I would hate the thing that the seller did not handle this item with Care. Update: LG sent a tech out from Total Appliance Solution. He pretended that he didn’t not hear this loud ringing sound coming from my AC. Guys this is not normal! I never had an AC that rings like this. He told his “director” that nothing was wrong with it. Don’t trust this tech of LG sends them to you from Brooklyn! Update: I filled another complaint and this time Total Appliance Solution told me over text that they are not coming out to service the AC even tho I sent them videos. LG managers are now escalating this to some other team. I already told them that total appliance solution refused to do anything even the first time I called them. So I will update you to see where this goes. I’m still writing this on one because the warranty is garbage. LG has no control over their third-party techs! Update: LG warranty techs that service Brooklyn in this area are very bad. Hello. The LG tech Wardell came to look at the unit but he didn't want to be bothered with it. He said he can’t do anything because the AC wasn't making noise to him while he was there. That's in spite of the fact that I sent some videos before his visit with the sound playing very loud and clear. The AC made the sound a few while he was here, but he claims he didn't hear it. I sent him videos of the noise that I'm hearing and again he said he can't do anything if it doesn't do it live with him. His suggestion was to turn on the AC all night even though it's going to be 50° and pretty much freeze so that he can come later. This would be the last appliance that I buy from LG because the warranty is a really bad one. I have received no help for this unit and it seems like Wardell is just as bad as Total Appliance Solution. He claim “he will do his best to help me”, but I don't think that was true at all. He never opened it. He never looked inside. He did none of that. Update: LG offer to replace the unit because service man would not come out. However, they no longer make this unit. Therefore, they gave me a refund. It was a horrible experience with an inferior product with a name brand slapped on it!

Just installed this unit. The installion is kind of complicated and you should plan on 2-4hrs for this. The until cane in, what seemed, good condition, however I noticed crushed and bent evaporator coils which surprised me. Other reviews have mentioned this as well. So far, it seems to be doing its job.

Overall, the AC works amazingly well. It’s super quiet, cools the room quickly, and performs exactly the way I hoped. The only downside is that it arrived damaged, which was really disappointing. Equipment like this needs to be handled much more carefully during delivery.

I am on my second hot summer using this air conditioner without any issues. It easily keeps my 1200sq ft home nice and cool using a fan to push the cool air into the second bedroom. It is so quiet and you can set it to automatically shut off when the desired temperature has been reached. When the temperature drops it quietly turns itself back on! I am 67 so have bought my share of window air conditioners. I used to get so annoyed with the constant roar of the last window air conditioners I have owned, and actually looked forward to winter so I could turn those blasted noise makers off. I don't have duct work in my home so central air isn't an option, but I believe this air conditioner is the next best thing to having central air.

This is a great unit. I recommend that if you’re in the market for an affordable a/c that you stop scrolling/searching right now. You’ve found the one you’re looking for! It’s super quiet. Very dependable. Nice and cold. Ours is over a year old. It’s actually our second one. The first one is pushing 3 years and works perfectly! It’s Wi-Fi compatible. You can control It from anywhere in the word with your phone. It works with Alexa. It has a sled cleaning option that works beautifully!! It has a self diagnostics option. I usually run it once a month to see if there’s a problem detected. So far everything works perfectly. I HIGHLY recommend this unit. We are cooling a large area (about 1,200 sq ft) with ours and it handles the job well. Our original one is in our kitchen because we do a lot of baking and it just helps to keep the kitchen cool. Although the kitchen doesn’t really get hot because our second unit keeps it as well as the living & dining rooms pretty cool as it is. Again, for the money, this is a WIN— a super great value. You won’t go wrong with this purchase.
