Pegasus SP4596 Deco 30-Inch High by 24-Inch Wide Framed Medicine Cabinet, Brushed Nickel

We, too purchased two of these cabinets. The inside mirror is cracked on one of them, near the bottom hinge so it went undiscovered for some time. Too bad, too, because it's a handsome cabinet. I'll try contacting Plumstruck and see if they stand behind their product. Stay tuned...

The product itself is an attractive piece for the bathroom. Lots of shelf space, fits just right! The assembly instructions have a lot to be desired. Poor!

I couldn't be more pleased with the look and quality of this beautiful mirrored cabinet. I used it in a recent bathroom remodeling in which I selected a white-on-white color scheme. It works well with brushed nickle fixtures although it is more of a brushed brass. For my bath design, it provided the needed visual interest for my color scheme. The quality and storage capacity is excellent. The surprise was that the entire interior; door, shelves and back wall of the unit are mirrored too so you can get a look at the back of your hair or have two people doing make up at the same time using either side of the cabinet door. The only problem I experienced was with my wall being bowed out a little so when the cabinet was recessed in the wall there is a little space that makes the door look like it does not close flush. It does close perfectly so there is no problem with the cabinet, it is my wall. Otherwise it looks like a framed mirror...just beautiful, very elegant and excellent quality. It was well packed and arrived with no damage.

This medicine cabinet is beautiful and gets a lot of complements. However, the silver finish has flaked off right from when we took it out of the box. I would have considered returning it but it was needed immediately for our project. It is in a guest bathroom that doesn't get a lot of use so I'm hoping it will hold up well enough. A couple years ago, we bought almost the same Pegasus medicine cabinet in oil rubbed bronze and have never had a problem with the finish flaking.

I was looking for a stealth medicine cabinet to replace a glued on mirror while doing a bathroom renovation. The Pegasus medicine cabinet was perfect for my needs. I mounted it as a recessed cabinet and when the beautiful mirror door is closed, you cannot tell that it is hiding a large and very functional medicine cabinet. The 3 soft close hinges handle the weight of the mirror with ease and whisper it closed perfectly. The quality of the cabinet is fantastic. No flaws at all. The instructions are very clear and measurements provided for cutting the wall for recess mounting were right on target. Because of the mirror weight, I suggest that you remove it from the cabinet with the quick release buttons on each hinge, prior to mounting. This reduces the cabinet weight to a very manageable figure for a one man installation job. The mirror was well packaged and all contents arrived intact.

I bought and returned a Kohler Medicine cabinet because it kept arriving damaged. The packing was so poor that it couldn't be shipped.I figured I would give the Pegasus SP4600 and SP4596 a try. The quality is as good or better then the Kohler. Like the Kohler, the rear, front and inside front mirrors are glass. This make the cabinet heavy. The SP4596 was actually heaver then the SP4600. The 4600 has a hard plastic or resin frame and the 4596 feels like the frame is metal. Both the cabinets are polished metal and feel really well built. They both came with 3 glass shelves and clear plastic clips to hold the clear glass in place. The unused holes are then plugged with black rubber plugs.Downside. The SP4600 and SP4596 have mirrored sides if you choose to surface mount them. The mirrored sides are glass and because of the way they are packed in the box, they broken during shipping. I'm guessing this is very common because of the packing design.

This medicine cabinet is made of poor quality materials. The decorative door frame is a molded composite that is attached to a vertical metal support bar. After only 14 months, the frame could no longer hold the weight of the door and mirror. It broke off when I was standing at my vanity with the door open. It came crashing down damaging my vanity top and fell on my foot and bathroom floor. The entire left side of the frame remained attached to the metal support bar/hinges. The composite frame simply snapped off at the corner joints.I purchased two of these cabinets and now have to remove the other mirrored door so no one could be hurt as I can't take a chance that the same thing will happen. I now have to wait for the "seller" PlumStruck to contact me after I reported the incident to Amazon. After much research, I found out that this item is manufactured by Home Depot under the Pegasus label. That explains a lot!

This is a beautiful, high quality medicine cabinet that looks more like a fine beveled-edged mirror (which it also is). It looks beautiful in my newly remodeled bathroom. I had it installed so that it is flush with the wall so it doesn't protrude at all. When you open the door, the entire inside lights up in mirror. You can easily style the back of your hair with the door open because there is a full mirror in back of the shelves allowing a very good view. I had bought a mirror at Home Depot, then came home and found it wasn't well reviewed. It is always hard buying something sight unseen and wondering how it will look, and in this case, with a mirror, if it will arrive broken or need to be returned.This item came intact and without delay. I couldn't be happier with it. It definitely adds pizazz to my small bathroom. I love it!!
